Off Site Backup via Public Internet

Here's the skinny - I'm using a combination of Dropbox and FreeFileSync to keep a Simian computer at the transmitter site synced to the one at the studio in case the STL (Barix box) goes out at either site, the processor will fall over to the Simian box at the tx site.

The problem is that the Dropbox is getting full due to the size of the files (uncompressed WAV + free Dropbox = full), and the speed of the connection (Failpoint DSL) means that it is constantly choking up.

Any ideas, aside from increasing the size of the Dropbox? Not sure if it would be possible to set up a VPN and just copy the files that way, but I'm all ears. And if you know of better file copying program that can only copy new files and then delete the files once moved to the correct folders, I'd love to try that out too.

Thank you in advance!
