Office Pool

I wanted to start an office pool to see who can guess the exact date that "94.5 The One" will close down and get out of town. And....what station will reep the benefits of the 3 listeners they leave behind? My guess: October 1.

they're at an all time record of 0.9! lol!!!

my guess is september 10.

I'm gonna take a guess and say September 5th. Now here is the big question, who ever is the closest or is exactly right, what do they win???? Is it a night on the town courtesy of Ed Levine?????

....just keeping my post "Top of Mind". Programmers recognize!

Getting beyond our mutual disdain for Levine, the Bone is not a bad sounding station these days. Alice Cooper goes kind of deep on the music at night, and Shantz in the morning is such a vast improvement over any of their past offerings!!!! I mean what a concept....a Rock station that actually plays music in the morning, and a DJ that gives information about music and up coming concerts in the morning too....I mean I can listen to morning radio again, just as I could in 1971. Personally, whether or not Levine is using Albany as a tax write off, I hope the station "stays the course". (God...I hate that phrase!!!)

Alright, Peaches is gone and Stew Schantz is off the website. Are there more changes coming?? Was I right did I win the office pool Jaques????? I am dying to know what I've won!!!!!

Well...."Fish in the morning" obviously won't last. It would appear to be the "end times" for the Bone....

According to the peeps over at Dennis Terrace Stew and Beth are being sent to utica and The Bone is being consolidated, tweaked and is going to be referrerd to as "classic hits".
be on the lookout for them pink slips in your paychecks. LOL
Especially Fish.

You are right stanwayback. It's coming. Get ready for the tweaking of the "bone" on the bird. You don't need an "on air" staff when you are getting ready to run a satellite format playing "classic hits". All you need are sales and production people. Gotta cut costs before you sell.

Wow. I can't say I'm shocked. So much for Levin's BIG news conference last year when the Bone was introduced. Did Levine think he could take down PYX? How many Rock stations can you have?

As for Stew, I liked his on air demeanor.

Oh well...

Levine thought he could take on PYX, Q103, Channel 103.1, WGNA, WGY, WROW, and now AAA??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Eddy's gotten punch drunk!

The End Is NIGH!!!

More Bone news..

My source tells me Melissa is now doing PM drive and is production director; Fish is doing mornings, Big Stew is moving into another position in the company in another market, Beth is gone from Albany doing National and overseeing Utica, Mike Sousa is now local sales manager. Stay tuned next week. It will be self-explanatory.

Some stuff we knew, some we didn't...

What's your source, their website? LOL [EDIT].

[EDIT-inflammatory]

Desperate times call for desperate measures. But really, hasn't it been desperate for a good, long time now? I'd seriously LOVE to recount the brief, but tenuous past of Galaxy in the region, but that would require too much time that these hands don't have..... If anybody would like to put the version out there, I'd be happy to consult.
Now for a clever "ed" gimmick..... oh why bother - this ne jumped out at me:

FAIL"ED"!!!

Nelson says "Ha, Ha!"

Let me see....

Does it matter anymore??
levine is FINISH"ED" in Albany!!!!!
All the kings horse's and all the Kings men couldn't put 94.5 and 93.7 back together again.

Who wants Omelets??

dude, you're giving information that's pretty much self-explanatory.

mike sousa is a grease ball of a "salesman", makes you want to take a shower afterwards.

Sousa's also great at bad-mouthing former talent at his sales calls too.
Thanks for the good word.

Melissa and Fish both have a lot of talent and I wish them all the best. They sound great! They also both have that relentless hard work ethic that is so paramount to success in the media whether it is radio, TV or web-related applications. No matter what the immediate future holds for either of them I know that if I were in management in a radio situation I would want people like them on my team.
