Officer there are disc jockeys on my front lawn!

A few weeks ago I brought up a promotion WPRO-AM used to run in which station carolers would come to your house & serenade you. Well, it looks like PRO-FM is carrying on the tradition & it's tied in with your Christmas lights. Send your photos to [email protected] & the 5 winners will be caroled by Giovanni & Kim, Will, Tony Bristol & the proverbial "more". Sounds like a good promotion & while I'm not sure the average listener is all that into heritage as we are, it's good to see them reviving a past WPRO tradition.

> Bet they lip sync

Call'em carols all you want. They'd better learn the words to Domenic.

Ya scared me!

For a wild moment I thought you had found a way
to bring back the very politically incorrect lawn
ornaments....concrete jockeys....of 40 years ago!

Maybe there's a business in that...making concrete
effigies of disc jockeys to display on lawns!
Kind of a way to thumb the beak at the PC heros
who made us ashamed of the old style.....

Who knows...might become as much of a fad as the
"Our Lady Of The Bathtub" grottos that were so
big around Fall River. Are they still? I was
there a few weeks ago and didn't see as many as
I expected.

It's not the size of the tower.....
It's how you use it.

Amazing coincidence, your mentioning the toilet planters!

Just two days ago a friend who lives nearby was telling me
about some problem neighbors. I suggested he go to the
dump and get about a dozen assorted color crappers
and make a sort of artistic fence along the property line.
Memories, memories...... Mercifully, I had forgotten the
cut tire planters!
______________

Handy if your station carolers need to relieve themselves and you don't want to let them in the house. Another promotion some stations used to run comes to mind where you would find the most creative way to display call letters in public to win tickets or some big prize.

Gio and Tony are comin'caroling. Get the cookie trays ready.
