Official - Magic goes all Christmas

Magic is now playing "Cristmas" music, according to their website

Wow, and they spelled "Christmas" wrong...they have it spelled "Cristmas"....how embarrassing.

How long before they notice or someone tells them. It's just after noontime right now on Friday. Somebody keep track. Joe Gallant, I nominate you.

Someone told them, "Get the H out of there..." :) *

Not that I'd listen to WMJX, as it is. Isn't this the station that has a show called Bedtime Magic that starts at...8 pm? How many of us go to beddy-bye
then? :)

*--got that from an old Tony Orlando and Dawn TV special, in which Dawn
member Telma Hopkins said "By the way, my name is Telma, not Thelma...
because someone told my mom to get the 'h' (h---) out of there" or something like that.

Yes, the very same station.

Ouch, Pete Falconi just had a heart attack and upchucked his thanksgiving dinner!
Interesting to see who'll win THIS one.
True OLDIES established the tradition a couple of years back.
But Magic IS Boston's #1 adult music station. And where will their displaced listeners go?

And from late May through early August, "Bedtime Magic" starts while the sun is still out!

Why doesn't WMJX-106.7 change the title of the 8-10 P.M. portion to "The David Allen Boucher Show", and use the title "Bedtime Magic" only after 10 P.M.??

Then, the title would make more sense.

Based on the station's playlist, as posted on Yes.com, WMJX made the flip at 6 A.M. today (November 25th).

I am surprised, for I thought that were WMJX-106.7 to go all-Christmas, they would have done it much sooner than this----and before WODS-103.3 did it.

Next year, both may start in early November.

With WMJX having flipped, there very soon probably won't any Soft AC stations anywhere in the country that haven't gone all-Christmas.

What's left?

Many suburban listeners to the north and west can pick up WZID 95.7 out of Manchester.

North Shore listeners can pick up 104.9 WBOQ; which is typically oldies but could pick up the alienated adult audience.

95.9 WATD's AC/oldies variety on the South Shore will probably pick up a few more listeners, and communities on the southern-most portions of the South Shore can pick up 99.9 WQRC on the Cape.

There's always WPLM 99.1, which has been adding in 1-2 Christmas songs per hour to its Soft AC format. And WPLM always flips to all Christmas music on December 13th (12 days before Christmas), anyhow.

Re: Magic is now playing "Cristmas" music, according to their website

Maybe their listeners are "Desperate Housewives" who spend most of their time in bed before the sun goes down, then are up all night on the internet looking for more bed partners...while listening to David Allen Boucher!

Just checked at 4pm and Christmas is spelled correctly. Was still incorrect about 2 hours ago.

Based on what?

What's the earliest any station has gone Christmas?

There's a station in New Jersey (actually two, WTTH/WDTH in Atlantic City) that went all-Christmas before Halloween. I think they set the record.
