OH are you out of your mind? DANCE WILL NEVER WORK.

After a few months of exploring various areas of these boards, I've made a discovery. I've discovered that almost no matter where you go, there will always be someone to tell you that dance would never work. Now, you may think I'd have a lot to say, but I don't. Really. No, because I've already said  and explained everything here: http://boards.radio-info.com/smf/index.php?topic=159879.0 (Read Posts: #7 through 2nd page, although I don't REALLY say anything until the last post on 1st page)

Normally, I'd try to avoid bringing up or mentioning dance in certain sections, for obvious reasons. However, this time, I felt that it's been nearly 12 months of me avoiding the topic and decided to just go ahead and say something back. Just go ahead, explain, and provide specific examples on creative ways that we could successfully acknowledge a few dance hits (not an entire 24 hours!!) ...and if anyone has a problem, they could purchase a British Airways ticket, pack their bags, show up to the airport, go through a complete body scan, board a plane, connect flights, and come tell me about it once I get to London, and if a dance song is not playing on the RHYTHMIC, URBAN, or TOP 40 type stations I'm listening to there at the time, I'll listen.

Anyway, yes it's true that the old fashioned way of thinking when it comes to dance (amongst other styles and things) may not work, but there's always another option, and those options are to

1. THINK of NEW ideas
2. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
3. STOP following what everyone else is doing or following how it's "supposed" to be, ESPECIALLY if there are no real set rules in what you are following, based on some made up belief system.

Once again, you can see (and listen to) all my examples on how it COULD work, and everything else I had to say, here: http://boards.radio-info.com/smf/index.php?topic=159879.0 (Read Posts: #7 through 2nd page, although I don't REALLY say anything until the last post on 1st page)

Why do I even continue to talk? I have people fighting and denying it - WHEN THERE IS ALREADY A STATION HERE IN PHOENIX DOING EXACTLY WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!

I just intentionally didn't mention the station because I wanted to see what kind of responses I'd get. I'm assuming some people are avoiding the topic because they are aware of that station and what they're doing... but it's officially time for me to stop talking and just take another route. Shut up, and just stick with and help the people who are supporting the scene. The people who aren't interested are not much of importance anyway so really no point in wasting time trying to convince them. When dance is big, they'll say it wont work. When dance dies down they'll say it wont work. When dance comes back they'll still say it wont work. ...And what's funny is that 90% of what I presented were mainstream, top 40 dance hits and people are still saying "don't play what the people know then you'll die". So it's not like some are even taking the time to research or listen to any ideas before saying "it wont work". They've developed a concrete idea in their heads and have all the reasons necessary to back it up and that's that. We need more people to think like the directors of Power 96, Party 101.5...... even KKFR here in Phoenix..... Hollywood Hamilton, or even Jaggar - who has figured out a formula to give the sound attention in his syndicated top 40 radio show!

No need to continue to fight with the nay sayers - just let them talk while I stick with the supporters and KEEP IT MOVING. My belief system is "If the rest of the world can do it, then the U.S. could figure out how to do it, too - especially if it were done before". All things must change, and eventually, it will be forced to...
