I caught quite a bit of FM and TV DX here in the Hudson Valley Thursday. It lasted here a while.New logs:12:08pm - KBBN-95.3 Broken Bow, NE “The Mighty Thunderbird” “The New 95.3”. 1336mi.12:36pm - KSOU-93.9 Sioux Center, IA, livestock price report, Iowa news, mention of O’Brien County, and spot with “712” area code phone. 1144mi.12:46pm - KDCR-88.5 also Sioux Center, IA, more livestock prices!! 1137mi.1:29pm - KIKN-100.5 Salem, SD, with the Kickin’ Country Café, “10-in-a Row”, 1200mi. 1:37pm - KZSD-102.5 Martin, SD, interview with South Dakota legislator centering on gay marriage. South Dakota Public Radio. Fourth most-distant FM since May 2003 at 1406mi.2:20pm - KBRK-93.7 Brookings, SD “B-93.7” with DJ Vickie DeJong. This is my SD #6 - 1184mi. (KSNB-NE?)KTIV-4 - IA, news, at 1:05pmFOX-2 St. Louis (KTVI), becoming quite a regular.UnID NBC-5, around 1:45pmKJRH-2 - OK at 4:35pm w/ Ellen.I like the more northerly DX openings like this: I don’t have to shoot right through the local antenna farm as I do for LA, MS, AL area, and the northerly openings tend to be rarer here. Let’s hope for some more DX for the weekend!
