Actually, not that strange....0.0 in the ratings...probably a good idea to try to get SOMEONE to listen

Very true. Watch for the ratings spike in 25-54 & 35-64 women.

Why just women? Anyway, 96.3 The Rose should see a ratings increase over the next few weeks. Also, RadioNut where did you get that number? I saw a different number on Arbitron, a little higher, but still very low. Cape 104 (103.9) is still new. 96.3 The Rose is the heritage Top 40 station.

yea, ALL Chrstmas music...but what you don't realize is that they also cleaned house today as well...

*at least that is what we were told here, up the street.

it looks like all of you scrooge's out there are getting hit from all angles huh? hahaha.

cbf8989, in Boston, Providence, Worcester, and Cape Cod, there is an alternative to every Christmas station that can be heard with the same regular format or close to it, so there are alternatives to this Christmas music insanity. ;D Shall I break it down for you?

Providence area alternatives to B101 (classic hits) and Lite Rock 105 (AC)
True Oldies 790
88.1 WELH-Oldies weekdays after 1pm
Magic 106.7 (AC) (Boston)

Worcester area alternative to 96.1 WSRS (AC)
Magic 106.7

Cape Cod alternative to Cape 104 (103.9) (Top 40)
96.3 The Rose (Top 40)

Ya mean like Adam Sandler? I think I'd rather take my chances with X-Mas music. ;D

What about WFHN? I thought they were Top 40 too?

Do we know that WSRS will be flipping as well?

WSRS has flipped the last couple or three years but not quite this early. I'd say mid-December if I were a betting man.

I'm not positive but I think last year they flipped Thanksgiving week. I remember it being either Thanksgiving or the day before.

WSRS is offering a poll on their website. Question is when people think they should start playing Christmas music. Nearly 30% say Right Now. About 27% say the day after Thanksgiving.

IMHO, WSRS could be all Christmas 365 days a year and it would be a vast improvement over their current music. :D

The Radio-Info site was having problems when I posted this.  Did not have chance to put in the Boston alternatives to Oldies 103.3 and 105.7 WROR.
North Shore 104.9, 95.9 WATD
And to those oldies fans west of Route 495
Oldies 98.9

Also that WSRS poll should have been more specific, because they did not ask when they should start playing ALL Christmas music, they just asked when they should start playing Christmas music which to me, would mean adding it into the regular format, so the results may be misleading.  I would find it hard to believe that 30% would want them to play ALL Christmas now. If it was all Christmas, my vote would definitely be Christmas Eve.
