Oh no - hopping ghost translator

It's legal.

It's not hopping around. It's part of the am revitalization program. Relocation of a translator within a 250 mile radius.

Okay, I know the practice of moving a translator to pair with an AM station is legal.
But I don't think Mrs. Tellez's K238BZ 95.5 is legal, since they filed a license to cover back in December, and I checked in December on 95.5. Can you tell me if this station was on-air in December rebroadcasting KEDA 1540? Because I certainly have never heard it on the air and I'm close to it.

If you want additional information about this owner, I suggest you read these posts. An informal Objection was filed against Tellez's other station in Corpus Christi, TX because it was never built and they filed for a license to cover. If a license to cover is filed a station must be on air, if I have the FCC rules correctly.

Maybe private messaging the poster can yield more info for you.

I can say a lot about the character of the licensee based on my personal experience but by momma always said if you can't say something good about somebody, it was better not to say a word.

Application dismissed. Maybe the FCC is onto them.
But they filed a silent notification that was approved in July.

SILENT PENDING GRANT OF MODIFICATION APPLICATION AND MOVE TO NEW SITE

Looks like that won't happen though so what now?

They filed another application to use just 10 watts, with KEDA still as their primary signal.

Another thing, a sale from WENDOLYNN TELLEZ to ACJ COMMUNICATIONS was dismissed by the FCC, so Tellez still has it. I assume the power is so low to protect La Ley. Don't hold your breath on this thing making it on the air, though. I have not heard it on once

Is Trinity still around? Maybe they can shed some light on this stuff.

K238BZ has a license to cover granted by the FCC, so it should be on the air correct? I have not heard it on and I've checked. The station is fairly close to where I am now yet there's static on 95.5.
