Oh, That PTC...

I'll bet that at certain points they had to excuse themselves to suddenly go to the bathroom.

Does anybody even listen to the PTC nowadays? Seems to me that the people running that organization are nothing more than the offspring of the offspring of the people who started the organization all those years ago (When there *weren't* a gazzilion channels on TV (And radio before before that) like there are now) & are doing nothing more than continuing the same old thing

Gotta be a pretty DEPRESSING employer to work for. Feel kinda sad for those who are working there just to put food on the table but would rather be working somewhere else for the same purpose.....

Cheers & 73 ;D

Don't they have some more productive way to spend their time?

Like....oh, I don't know......parenting, maybe??

I remember when the PTC was an organisation that pushed for more quality television, especially after shows like NYPD Blue came on the air. Steve Allen, a well-known television personality who also written several books on philosophy, was also one of the chairmen. These days, the PTC is nothing more than a "morality squad", pointing out things that offended them and urging for censorship and fines, instead of working with the industry.

I would like to know who has enough time on their hands, to sit around and count how many times the word "penis" is said on TV.

Answer: Tim Winter.

Notice that, in the link on the original post in this thread, RBR/TVBR's "observation" is actually longer than the actual news item itself. Proof that they've grown tired of Tim Peevow's bit, as well...

The only people I know generally have a keg of beer or shots of whiskey involved...
