I think Radio Elizabeth askes a good question. My view on the problems that tend to keep the more serious (intelligent) discussions from happening here What one person considers to be an intelligent comment may be considered to be an idiotic comment by someone else( One man's music is another man's noise). The problem is that rather than commenting on the original comment so as to have a discussion and treating each other here with respect as Christ would (Do unto others as you'd want them to do unto you), the other repliers attack the lack of intelligence (as they perceive intelligence) of the original writer or other such degrading comments which essentially ends up causing that particular thread in being like a verbal food fight. After a while, you find it just isn't worth taking the time to come here to read much less to post.
That is a sad commentary for a "Religious Radio Board" that supposedly is made up for the most part by people who claim to be followers of Jesus. So maybe the question should be rather than, as Radio Elizabeth suggested, can we have an intelligent discussion, to can we have a civil discussion where the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. All ideas welcome. No one is going to be the "spelling or grammar police" and attack a person for their lack in these areas. And if the topic drifts off of radio, so what, it will eventually get back on to radio if the "food fight" doesn't start. We all need to be less critical and be more forgiving and generous with Agape Love.
If a person finds a thread, not to their liking or interest, or below their intellectual level thus not being worthy of their time, then don't read it or respond. In my opinion, these sorts of things would possibly bring some new "voices" to this board and hopefully bring the level of discourse to a higher level.
