OH YEAH! C B S - F M IS BACK, BABY!!!

DO IT Again CBS FM! WooHOO!

Nice touch with that Desjardins guy from the Beach Boys talking it up, too.

A wonderful trip down memory lane for this transplanted New Jerseyian now in Orange County California since 1985. I have been recording the stream ... What fun!

It's just a coincidence --- last night I took my wife to a nearby mall in Newport Beach to see the weekly Summer Concert Series featuring a variety of acts. The first show in the series happened last night and starred -- Micky Dolenz.

I sure wish I had a chance to ask him what he thought about CBS-FM's return (I'm sure he was aware)

He performed for 90 minutes.. still has a great voice!
Started with Last Train to Clarkesville and finished with I'm a Believer!
I Believe CBS-FM's return is a great happening for radio not just in NYC but in radio across America! :)

Now THAT is irony. But still, imagine how not great his voice might have been after two additional years of wear and tear from morning radio?

Live it up now 'cause it'll be gone soon.

12/8/1980: John Lennon is shot dead outside his New York apartment. 77 WABC does an impromptu memorial for him the following day. On 5/10/1982 WABC played "Imagine" and then becomes a talk station.

5/14/1998: Frank Sinatra dies after a long illness. WQEW-1560 plays nothing but Sinatra music until the day of his funeral. Seven months later "The Home of American Popular Standards" became the New York home of Radio Disney.

7/12/2005: CBS-FM returns amid much hype by fanboys and Big Media. How long before 101.1 drops oldies for another format?

I'll have what chuckydoll is drinking....wtf???? Scared of success????
