Ohh CBS change ur ways!!

God why does CBS always flip here . The fan okay . We need at good top 40 again take out Spanish on 107.5 . Movin was decent could turned it to really good top 40 . Kiss needs some computation i93 won't cut it. So what do u think should flipped to really go against kiss. There a great station . Somebody at CBS is scared I guess...

I don't see it happening because it makes good sense. i don't think thye will tae on KISS, even tho they need to do somehting with 107.5. Keep dreaming.

You sure about i93 not cutting it? I just checked, they're up to a 2.4. Sure, still pretty far from KISS's 6.1, but since the Bone was lucky to get a 1.0, they've come a long way in a year against the #1 station in the metroplex. And their cume is up close to 900K, yes still a long way from Kiss's 1.7 mil, but good enough for 11th in the metroplex.

And my wife works for an ad agency here in town, She says they're billing a ton more than they used to.

Even though I would like CBS to do something with 107.5, but I don't think we need another Top 40 station here because KISS is getting their work cut out for them with i93. Maybe a station like KHPT (Houston) might work.

CBS could always do what they have done in San Fran... They kept the MOViN name but dropped the music and now play "All The Hits" leaning dance. Good enough for a 3.5... Looks like they still own the www.movin1075.com domain. Here is the playlist - very similar to AMP or NOW.

I guess that would work, i93 don't even play "My Humps".

I am suprised that nobody has tried the "Gen X Radio" yet
The problem with gen x is this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_X
Generation X, commonly abbreviated to Gen X, is the generation born after the baby boom ended. [1] While there is no universally agreed upon time frame, [2] the term generally includes people born from the early 1960's to the late 1970's and early 1980's, usually not later than 1982

The 45 year old born in 1965 probably has far different music tastes that the 28 year old born in 1982. The 45 year old probably grew up (and still listens to) on late 70's/early 80's classic rock, orold Edge type new wave/alternative, while the 28 year old grew up on mid-90s' grunge, early hip-hop, etc. Those different musical styles don't necessarily mix well...

I think CBS Radio should flip Movin' 107.5 to a Gold-Based Soft Adult Contemporary (not sleepy like WDUV from Florida) but a softer AC than KVIL 103.7 Lite FM to where they focus on a variety of soft hits from 70's/80's and brand it something like E-Z 107.5.

Maybe it's a bad idea because CBS Radio already has similar formats Classic Hits KLUV, Adult Hits KJKK, and AC KVIL, but Clear Channel owns similar formats of themselves Hot AC KDMX, Adult Alternative KDGE, Rock KEGL, Classic Rock KZPS, and CHR KHKS. So it might be either bad idea for CBS Radio to squeeze in Gen X to compete with CC KEGL, KDGE, and KDMX. Cumulus Media owns Country KPLX and CHR KLIF. Citadel also owns another Country KSCS. I was thinking if CBS Radio should flip 107.5 to country, but there's already two country in the market. Just like yall thought about CBS Radio flipping 107.5 to another CHR, but that won't work out well.

I think Gold-Based Soft AC is the best idea for CBS 107.5 even though it wouldn't work out well with the young demographic who takes up the majority of the population in DFW.

CBS still won't go head-to-head with CC. Purdy good reason for that, I suppose.

For now, anyway... There's been speculation as to whether the combined Citadel/Cumulus would keep both country formats, but it might be fun to see CBS or another operator create a third country station and perhaps force their hand...

Why don't KVIL put their HD format "Rise FM" on 107.5 and put MEGA on 107.5-HD 2 and put The Oasis and KVIL's HD station? Make sense?

Yeah, they could just do that, it would make more sense. Mega is just a least attractive format. I have a lot of Hispanic friends from my school who's into American CHR and AC rather than Spanish Rhythmic or Spanish AC format.
