Long-time KFQD talker Dan Fagan says he's outta there.
He quit via an annoucement on his Facebook page and won't even stop by to say "good-bye". Today's show being hosted by retired Anchorage Police Lt. Paul Honeman who is also a member of the Anchorage Assembly (city council) and has been doing morning traffic reports on the station for several weeks.
Fagan gave no reason for his sudden departure though he was complimentary toward KFQD management in his Facebook message.
He was a long-time cheerleader for the oil companies who dominate Alaska's North Slope. In an effort to get the state to cut taxes on the industry those companies have been threatening to cut back exploration, drilling, and other expenses in Alaska. Which causes one to wonder......
