Ok, break over... Time to talk about San Diego HD FMs

This past week, several companies rolled out new FM HD 2 radio stations in several large markets, like LA, NY, Boston, Chicago...

So, my question is, have there been any announcements in San Diego about new HD 2s? I'm sorry if this was talked about here already, but I'm kinda curious if anyone knows.

And please post if you only know of officially announced stations. I don't want to read another "wish list."

Thanks!

SDRadio HD

Yes, it has been talked about in engineering circles. There are several stations testing their multi-cast roll.

It is a sizeable $$$ investment at this time for the station -- and for the consumer. It's about two years away before mass consumption. Much like HDTV in Sandy Eggo, they will have to build it before the consumers tune in.

Multi cast radios for the home and for the car are hard to find, today, in consumer electronic stores.

Wichita, Kansas, has more HD-2 stations than Sandy Eggo.<P ID="signature">______________

I don't even want to think about how long it will be before beautiful windy (and dry) Lubbock Texas gets HD...
