Ok, it took a while, but the CC HD-2 streams are up!

I just checked all the streams for the Hartford stations (CC had them listed as going live on 02/01/06) but as of the close of work yesterday, I wasn't getting any of them, they all seem to be up right now.

Power was playing LL Cool J, kinda what I suspected.
HCN was doing Elvis Costello
YZ had some country song (I dunno who, I don't know country)
However on the Kiss Stream they are playing music, I figured from the name this was going to be some kind of talk format, but they seem to be playing classic and current dance and R&B tracks? I dunno, is this the type of music they play in bars maybe? Plus the promo just now called it "the fabulous 95.7". Well, I suppose that name does go along with the description on the HD site.

It seems to me just classic dance pop. Where's the current dance music?

I've been asking for a dance station in Hartford forever, and this isn't what I meant. This station is like KTU in New York, but I want a hit dance channel like the ones from Europe.
 
I would of thought channel 95.7 rock music to try to compete with ccc. any other channels hd2 that might be rock?

Ok, I haven't done much listening to it, but when I did, I heard the latest Beyonce track.

Let me tune in for a few minutes here and do a quick list:

Bucketheads - The Bomb (These Sounds Fall Into My Mind)

Kelly Clarkson - Because of You (standard version, not dance mix) <- Current

"Hartford's Fabulous 95 point 7, coming soon" (eh? does this mean they will being doing something else?)
Jamie Foxx - Unpredictable <-Current and not dance


Ok, that's enough, I suppose. Looks like mostly classic dance/pop.
I thought I heard more current stuff yesterday when I did a spot check. Must have just heard it at the moment they were playing a current track.

I wouldn't give any CC rock channels a chance after the disaster that was Radio 104.

I'd love to see CBS Radio use that Krock2 feed on a station in Hartford. I've been listening to it lately online, and it's really good.

That might not be possible with the number of stations they have now, I see them as being pretty solid with what they have on both the normal signal and the new HD's, however, if they somehow were able to add another FM station it might be possible.

(hmm, it's unlikely, but I'm thinking KROCK2 might do well as the HD2 of WCCC, if the unlikely event of CBSRadio purchasing it from Marlin)
