OK... Now SOMEBODY explain this to me QUICK!!

Ok.... now after years of personal experience in addition to confirmation through other people that it's not just me, I've come to the conclusion that the Atlanta way of radio formatting (outside of urban formatting) is....well, different. This I know, but could someone explain to me why

"Same Ol' Me" by George Jones is playing on WBTS 95.5 The Beat?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hepulHvNFdo

And not only that, but why I'm actually learning about and discovering him FROM The Beat, AND.. AND... even more, how is it that I'm not even there, yet the one time I check I still manage to just run in to something this odd, without even looking for it!!!!

Oh, and it also indicates that this song was played twice during the 12 o clock hour on WBTS!

Now, I just looked at my calendar to double check and it's no where near April Fool's Day, so that couldn't be it. Just spoke to Ashton Kutcher, and he said he had nothing to do with it, so...... I could only wonder "why?"

I would even understand it a bit more if it were the latest Miley Cyrus or even Taylor Swift, but.... George Jones? This is like Star*94 busting out..... well, Jay-Z ft Alicia Keys! If they are going to do that, then they might as well add in Cascada and Tiesto as well - which, by the way, I'm sure more people who listen to the rhythmic format would admire more. It's almost like another program director stepped in or something is going on..... WBTS is playing George Jones,

And not only that, WVEE, WHTA, WSTR, WWVA are ALL doing it!!!

What on earth is this world coming too???????

Someone also said it was played on The Groove. either this is a new form of being RickRolled or some other songs id is being mixed up with this song.

It is a commercial. Yes.com is picking up the audio footprint of the song used in the commercial, and is displaying it as a play of the song. Most likely, an ad for a movie is responsible, since they use pop music in their radio ads.

Well I guess the fact that it was confirmed to be a mix up kills my "they might as well add in Cascada and Tiesto as well.." statement.
