OK Orlando, What's Up in 2010?

Cox looks to voice track 16 hours a day. Bubba can't save them, can he?
CC is killing off everything but 104.1 (do they not pay anything?)
CBS has ax'd to a point, will they bleed or re-seed? Is Sunny a gonner?
Geneis actually has product, but it doesn't seem to produce.

So what's going to happen? Something's got to change in the morning (cause Bubba made no SPLASH) .. will there ever be live radio past 10am again?

Rick Stacey is OUT within 6 months...WOCL continues to falter,WOMX flips to CHR by Spring Break...CBS Blows up WJHM and flips 101.9 to Spanish...
COX blows up WHTQ and goes Lite AC to compete with 107.7. Major Changes at 104.1 Stays Talk but gets rid of the old bring in a FRESH APPROACH.

With smooth jazz stations changing formats at a fast pace, how is WLOQ doing?
Ratings seems to be stable, but are they evolving, how about making money?
Just curious, as I've heard the horror stories of other smooth jazz stations having
major problems.

WLOQ doesn't have to worry about making payments to a bank like the other owners, they've out right owned that station, so they have no doubt payments

And you can be sure current owners will hold on to their little goldmine now with station values in the dumpster. I hear it wasn't too long ago that they were offered $35M for LOQ...ouch!

They've owned the station, sure. But do they own that building in Maitland they're a tenant of since moving out of Winter Park back in 2004 or so? Gotta pay the bills.

I'm guessing Mix 105.1 (Hot AC) will become Amp Radio 105.1 (CHR) before PPM starts in September?

What I personally want to see is a CC station flipping to a Rhythmic AC (like 93.9 MIA & Z100 in Ft. Myers) or even Gen-X (like Gen-X 106.1 in Tulsa, OK & Gen-X Radio 100.5 in Louisville, KY). They might do that in response to "Amp".

I want to see Cox to bring back the "Party" on one of their underperforming stations, either WHTQ 96.5 or WMMO 98.9. (I doubt it.)
Maybe they will flip one of them to an "80's & More" format (like 101.5 The Point in Tampa)? They might do that in response to "Amp".
