Doing an online search for the phone number brings up CyberstationUSA.com

Be Careful....Be Very Careful

I believe if this is the same company located in Quincy it is not fully above board. The "programs" such as they are have to be "purchased" on some sort of satellite frequency. Either that or you have to pay them for "Training" in order to "announce" on these satellite programs to which no one is listening.

My advice - be very careful. This should be investigated by some consumer fraud office. Would also make an interesting segment for Hank Phillipi Ryan on Ch.7 or Susan Warnick on Channel 5. Perhaps, you should call them and ask if they know anything about it before you "invest" a penny.

Considering this advertisment has been out in the papers for a few years, there HAS to be something fishy going on

I saw the same ad on Craigslist myself. My general rule of thumb: If I have to go to a hotel to hear about a money-making opportunity, it's too good to be true. "No experience necessary?" At every other radio station in the world, one would have to be a street teamer or board-op before they could even think of being an on-air star. If it's that easy to get on the radio, somebody's pulling your leg.

One thing for sure, it's definitely NOT any "station" that we can listen to on our radio dial here.

If it's the same ad I'm thinking of... it's Internet Radio, and you get paid by selling advertising for your own programming.

Sounds like a tough catch. Internet radio is not exactly billing a lot of ad money yet, and there's s**tloads of competition streaming on-line for practically any format you do.

This "opportunity" might be ideal for a broadcasting maverick with deep pockets and the talent to put on a listenable show. But it's certainly not for your average Emerson alum.

Run - do not walk - away from scams like this...

Something smells REALLY bad about this.
It reminds of those "marketing" positions that are listed in the Globe help wanted ads EVERY SINGLE DAY. They are always looking for "6 sharp people". Yea, to sell snake oil...
