OK - the chip itself doesn't do HD ----

Covers LW and SW too - wonder what type of audio 'bandwidth' you can get on AM?
Also, I wonder why they don't spend 5 cents and add NOAA WX Radio reception as well - that would be used in the USA more than SW & LW?

Incorrect!

DRM has a stereo mode and demonstrated it in its early days. One of the long-distance tests had such strong reception they decided to test the stereo mode and it worked nicely. I have the audio sample and it sounds better than AM-HD. :)
