Mornings in the Northeast

Leading small market station in a beautiful section of the Northeast is looking for a very long-term morning show personality. We need a unique individual who will get involved in the community and bring it on the air. You're comfortable combining local chat with music, news, sports and contests. You like pressing the flesh and being out at client remotes. You prep each day and have a roadmap ready for the next show. You are looking for someplace to settle in for the long haul. You want to become an important part of the community and the radio station. We have a small market compensation package available which adds up to $35-40K. You won't get rich but it's a wonderful opportunity for longevity in a secure atmosphere. Please e-mail your aircheck (mp3 please) & resume’ to [email protected]. EOE.

I'll bet a dollar that's Great Eastern's ad for WGXL. And at 4.55 a gallon, I'd love a heating oil trade!
Remember in the old days (before Sarbox and corporate owners) things like car repair, laundry/dry cleaning, PC's, Cable TV, and yes, even gas trades were available to those of us in the trenches?
Nowadays getting even concert or ski tickets has become a hassle.

What? Already? What's wrong with Coop? I'm going to guess this is for another station, though I'm not surprised by much anymore...
