Ok kids its that time of the year again when the holiday sounds are once again thrust upon us weeks in advance of the actual holiday. KVIL always seems to be first out of the gate, usually the day after halloween. They have been known to start Nov.11 "Veterans' day as well.. Then MIX 102.9 joins in followed by KLTY. Will there be a diiference this year? Only Santa knows. So Merry Christmas, and Happy Hannakuah.

KVIL being first is a given. But Mix still has recurring nightmares about the holiday season of a few years past! That's right, Brenda Lee was "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," Andy Williams sang "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and Johnny Mathis...well, you remember. Shocked listeners looked at their radios and checked their digital display in disbelief. "Am I crazy?" "Has the station lost its mind?" "Has St. Nick hijacked the airwaves?" Now that was a season to remember: the year that "Christmas killed the Mix."
