Okay, follow me on this one.

(1) WGST has a contract which requires the station to carry all 162 Braves games, which means station management CAN'T pre-empt the Braves even if they want to.

(2) If they somehow broke their contract to accomodate you, WGST would lose thousands of dollars in revenue and piss off thousands of fans.

(3) Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, et al., are NOT news programs.

Duh!!!

I think you're right on the first part...but does GST have thousands of listeners to piss off?

Most of these contracts state that the games can be pre-empted for major news events along as it is broadcast somewhere on a major station with proper promotion and notification.

I haven't read the Braves contract with Clear Channel but maybe you have.

I would think with that major of a news event and the fact that Braves are also on FM, maybe they would have taken Rush live. That said, it's not for me. It's for all his dittoheads who have no idea what to think without Rush telling them. But this just goes to show that despite the fact the Limbaugh still have the greatest cume of any talker, his popularly isn't what it used to be, coupled with the fact his fans can subscribe to his site and get the podcasts. Talk shows can be archived, but I don't think there's much of a market for podcasts of already played sporting events.
