Okay... now what's going on with 106.1?

They played Christmas music through the weekend... now they're playing some crap--- some loop interspersed with some instrumentals and a voice-over announcing "A Rush is coming to 106.1 RDU." Rush doesn't move in till next week. WGBT is still Spanish. So what's going on with WRDU? And will they still air the Carolina games? The next basketball game is at 8:30 tonight...

BTW... that voice-over sounds like Brian Taylor from The River. Is that rumor coming to pass?

I keep on meaning to check it out for a couple weeks now, but dang it's been so long since I stopped by 106.1 on purpose I just haven't gotten that done.

Anymore on-air talk "auditions" on 106.1, as was reported a few weeks ago?

Yes, right now. Schnitt was on yesterday, a local show is on now.

I'm not sure of the guy, but the girl's the same one on for the past several weeks.

The female host just said to call in even If you disagree with them. Then, "You're wrong, but still feel free to call in."

"You're wrong." Talk radio. Glad nothing's "changed".

Is "Rush Radio" just a temporary name for the station? I do not understand how a station can revolve around a 3 hour show.

Happy New Year,

Stuart

Most names for radio stations revolve around NO SHOW. Kiss, Magic, Sunny, etc., no show there.

Another nail in the coffin. Now Clear Channel get's really dirty by promoting a political agenda with "Rush Radio"...Just keep one thing in mind, Mr. Mays, if Rush goes, so does "Rush radio"..Not a bright move. As we have all just seen today, with Rush being "rushed" to the hospital.. If he drops dead, so does Clear Channel.. Way to go Markie! Think it may be time for you to follow your father and brother. Just take the golden parachute and ...leave

The now-defunct "Howard 93.7" in Sacramento - call letters KHWD - immediately comes to mind...
