The latest ratings sure make for interesting reading. The most interesting thing I see is that the normally leading classic rocker is almost down there with it's Spanish-speaking sister. Ooops!

I realize the demographics make the format appealing, but there are simply not enough listeners to be that splintered. A small sliver of a lucrative audience is still peanuts.
OKCRadioGuy said:My guess is KRXO would be the survivor, mainly based on heritage. The question is when will all the rest of them finally change up and move on formattically. We shall see... It's always interesting to see what finally shakes out...

This notion is ludicrous: KOMA is nowhere close to being a classic rock station – it is pure classic hits!

There is plenty of overlap with the KOMA format and the pure classic rock stations KRXO, KQOB, and KBRU as well as oldies KZLS. It's my opinion KOMA, KZLS, and KRXO are all great sounding stations each targeting the same core audience but each slightly different as well. KQOB and KBRU are terrible stations and the sooner they flip the better.
