Olbermann Leans Forward And Kills "Worst Persons In The World"

Several points:

1) I like "Worst Persons", but I see his point.
2) Considering the number of times clips of Stewart and Colbert are used by MSNBC (on Morning Joe this AM in fact)---------it is hard not think of these programmers as more natural allies than either would be with Fox.
3) I would be shocked if Fox toned down anything either because of Olbermann's gesture or Jon Stewart's rally.
4) What could Fox drop to show moderation? Fire Beck? Make all the female "commentators" go brunette?

I don't always agree with Olbermann but he has always displayed overall class, this is another example. I will miss WPITW, but understand why it has to end.

Class? This is the guy who called Michelle Malkin a "mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick."

Yeah, that's classy.

Effective last night, Keith Olbermann has suspended the popular "Worst Persons" segment on his "Countdown" show - and it appears that Jon Stewart, of all people, could be the inspiration for this decision.

...ironic, since he just published another book based on material from the segment, Pitchforks and Torches: The Worst of the Worst, from Beck, Bill, and Bush to Palin and Other Posturing Republicans http://www.amazon.com/Pitchforks-Torches-Worst-Posturing-Republicans/dp/0470614471/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1288722416&sr=8-1 ...

Rush, Hannity, Beck, and the other drunks at the end of bar have said worse. The difference is they believe their feces comes out red, white and blue and smells of patriotism. They have all said things that are outright lies and very, very rarely ever offered a retraction even when they are called out. Olbermann has flagged himself on the play more than once, even making himself WPITW.

Again I don't always agree but at least Olbermann has a credibility reference point.

Well, that didn't take long: After a dozen shows - a couple of which he was suspended - Keith Olbermann has brought back the popular "Worst Persons" segment:

...by overwhelming viewer demand...

All 5 of them.
...a helluva lot more than that. And, unlike the core audience for Fascist Noise Channel, the majority of Olby's audience isn't expected to croak in the next year-and-a-half...

The core audience could die off for FNC, and they'd still beat Slobbermann in the ratings.
