All these came from RadioInsight and AircheckDownloads.

Peach 94-9 was magic. I wish it would return on on of CC's stations. But, who is that woman?

Gosh! I remeber that. Thanks so very much for posting it.
Every single one of my airchecks, from the start of my career until I left Star94 was lost.
I'll download this one and make certain it's put away in a safe place.
Thanks again.

I'd say their heyday was the late 80's. I remember the Steve Goss "A Peach of a City" spots with Atlanta history bits.
They also experimented with "Peachtree Nightsounds", a real true jazz show that took 94-Q's Jazz Flavors to the next level, playing more mainstream jazz than new age.

Strict about stop sets, and news at the top of the hour. This station was a CLASS ACT before ClearChannel hosed it.

When I moved to Atlanta in 1994, Peach was consistently ahead of B98.5 in the ratings.

wpb1999, the Aircheckdownloads.com site isn't coming up.

The site is here..... and the actual air checks are mp3 files.... so depending on your operating system, they may or may not downloaded.

Thanks. I was able to listen to the Peach aircheck. The imaging is so familiar. I remember it so well. I noticed that the aircheck was recorded during a Sunday night shift. I know that back then on the weekends, the DJs that did work on weekends, alternated their shifts around from what I could tell when I was listening back then. The only thing that stayed the same over the weekends back then was the Sunday morning Sounds Of Faith. The unknown lady did mention that a Jeff Eno was coming in after her. I know there is a Jeff Eno who is a meteorologist for The Weather Channel Radio Network. I don't if it's the same person. It could be. On another note, I do remember hearing someone back then who sounded similar to Scott Woodside doing a shift. It was either Scott Woodside or Vance Dillard. I know the name Scott Woodside is familiar because I heard him fill in for the late Keith Kalland when he was doing Timesaver Traffic for FOX5 as well as WGST. I know he worked at STAR 94 back during the 94Q era. I'm also aware that he worked at Z93 WZGC and B98.5 WSB-FM. During the week back then before Delilah became the evening personality, there was an evening personality by the name of Roschke (I don't know if I spelled her name correctly or not). The only other thing I know is the fact she was there around the time Sandy Weaver became a personality. Does anyone remember Roschke? If I spelled the name wrong, does anyone know the correct spelling? Does anyone know if Scott Woodside ever worked at 94.9 during the Peach era? If anyone knows the answers to these questions, please let me know by posting below. If no one knows, I understand. That is all. Thank you.

I think they tried Roshke (sp?) in an evening show...a relationship show to go up against Love Songs on B98. Woodside didn't work at Peach...he did WQXI, Z93 and traffic, so he was on several stations doing traffic. I don't think Eno worked for the Weather Channel. Whomever's voice that was on the Peach aircheck didn't work there long...I don't recognize the voice. The best voice ever on Peach was named Chuck and did mornings in the 80's. It was fun to hear Charlie Welsh on Peach...the guy who used to do weather on Channel 2.

I believe you're referring to Chuck McDowell, great pipes and a great friend, too. Had the pleasure of working with and learning from him at the incomparable Peach FM 95. We affectionally referred to him as the "Bessemer Bear" in honor of his hometown, Bessemer, Ala. Chuck distinguised himself as a sharp shooter during the Viet Nam War. If Chuck didn't like you in the work place, you had a problem. To his friends he was a beautiful guy, extremely thoughtful. Chuck eventually moved to Texas where he would eventually die due to complications from diabetes. BTW, Steve Goss' Peach of a City pieces occasionally can be heard once again on our archival web site.

The Jeff Eno at the Weather Channel is the same Jeff Eno from WPCH. Great guy to work with!

Hopefully somebody will post some air checks from the Y106 days,I found one from 1987 that has Rhubarb, commander Dave and BJ Williams.
