Old Drag Racing Ads, Sunda! Sunday! Sunday!

Anyone remember those ads? What racetrack it was , and does anyone know if any MP3s of the New England ads are around?

Re: Old Drag Racing Ads, Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!

NE Dragway, Rte. 101, Epping, NH. Suuuuundaaaaaaaaaaaaay....

Ah, summer must be here! ;D

Epping, really? I bought a Zenith Transoceanic in Epping.
Never heard any of the east coast ads, but I heard every Great Lakes Dragaway and US30 Dragstrip commercial ever
on WLS and WCFL in Chicago. Plus I lived about 5 miles from US30 dragstrip and on quiet summer nights you could hear
the BIG cars...

I try to put at least one dragstrip commercial in most of my AM 1620 aircheck podcasts. The most recent has a nice
SUNDAY SUNDAY US 30 at 42 minutes.

These were some of the best commercials ever. Makes summer sound like summer.

I'd love to hear some of the NE dragway spots.

NED radio ads are a fixture in New England, I do think they are a bit weak in production this year though, the guys don't sound hyped up enough, imho.

They need to have that announcer with the huge ballsy voice that loves to tell you about Gravedigger! He's the same voice you hear during WestWood One's NFL radio coverage. :)

I haven't heard one of them for years. I loved that bed they used back in the early 70s. It sounded like something looped. Anyone know what it was?
