Has anyone been to Brawley, and know if the old tower has been demolished? I believe it was located east of South 8th (HWY111),
about 1/2 mile south of the KROP stick.

I was out there 100 years ago to look at it for a fellow that had just been saddled with running it. It was a filthy, hot mess. I don't know why you'd dismantle verticle real estate unless it had been left to rot (which is certainly possible) or there was a land lease issue.

I went thru Brawley one time on my road bike, and the stench from the 1,000's of cattle at the feedlots
made me go to El Centro for dinner, instead. 1300's call letters should have been "KRAP"....
