Old Mobile calls resurface in Louisville

WKRG-FM became WKRD for a few weeks in 1994 prior to becoming WMXC. Those calls are now on the former WXXA-AM, which became WKRD to complement its coverage of University of Louisville sports.<P ID="signature">______________

I assume the WKRD call letters were structured to mean "Cardinals", for the University of Louisville Cardinals, right?
