Old Radio Airchecks - New Additions

I've used some of the time we all seem to have time on our hands around the house to digitize more radio airchecks. Need to get these off cassette and VHS-HIFI into more usable formats, and I thought some of you might like to hear some voices from the past.

You can find them here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0Bw-paby-kqfkWEVqTlJRdUt4RGM

Recent additions: "Jammin" Jeff Hayes and the Funky Bunch and Pistol Pete (someone told me he passed?) from WBBO, circa mid-1994; WCKN with Scott Shannon, circa 1985.

Lots more to come, including Magic 96 (Charlotte) pre-1987 sign-on, the final "Jazz Flavors" on WBCY (Charlotte), 103X, WBBO as The Breeze and Q93 and WBBO... stay tuned.

Stay safe!

I fondly remember the events that preceded the debut of Magic 96.

Just uploaded a 98.1 WPEK aircheck from 1996. Forgot how great their music mix was. I get why the format didn't work, but it's a really nice blend of rock. I remember visiting the WPEK offices in one of the big buildings in downtown Greenville. The main studio had several racks of Pioneer CD changers darn near floor to ceiling, filled with CDs. That was the music library for the automation system. It was a very nice studio for the time, with a great view, too.
