Old radio friends

Stu Wright here-I worked in Savannah several times at several stations..
WSGA/Z102...WQQT...WCHY...some people I wonder where they are now
Terry Wunderlin (WQQT)-Last I heard was West Palm Beach..but that was
several presidents ago...
Randi Summers-Z102...
Me? I'm mornings/ops person at AC -WORG (100.3)-Orangeburg SC
..

I never worked with you, but I remember listening to you on WQQT. Savannah lost the 1450 slot years ago. The station went through something like three or four ownership and format changes in the space of about three years, and then just went away. A few of the resident historians will be able to do a better job than I of filling in the details. Neat that you turned up. Great to know you're still around the business, too.

I vaguely remember working with you at WORG/Orangeburg about 300 years ago. You made me play Duran Duran on my show. I didn't like them then, and I don't like them now...neither of them.

There was also that Presley impersonator from England...what was his name? Oh yeah...Elvis Costello.

Jovial Jay

The preceeding comments were intended to be humorous, and were not meant be cruel toward Mr. Wright, who is truly one of the greatest morning radio personalities presently on the air weekday mornings at the one hundred point three spot on your FM radio dial in greater Orangeburg...even if he does have a face for radio!

The 1450 slot is now a CP for a new station at Brooklet (Statesboro). The CP's call-sign is...yep, you guessed it...WQQT.

If somebody will make a small loan, I'll build it. Otherwise (like the car dealers) I'm accepting all applications for purchase of the permit.

That's all applications OVER a million.

Okay...a million dimes, if you're gonna be cheap about it.

I worked for the Savannah 1450 prior to it becoming WQQT. In those days, it was WBYG.

WQQT gets around: It was the call of 103.9 for a while when the station was in Springfield.

Will you take that million in Confederate bank notes?

Stu,
I am pretty sure we never worked together. But you were gracious enough to allow me in the station a few times. Obviously a momentary lapse on your part. Ha, ha! I also have foggy memories of having met Jovial Jay. He even helped me hook a gig programming a 100kw station 18 years ago. Anyway, I'm now selling radio for another radio legend, Joe Willie Sousa, in Brunswick, Ga. It is a small world. Hope you guys are doing well.
