Old Relic Found Online

It's really weird some of the stuff you can find online. I was doing a Google search to get some more infomation about the history of WLAT 910 AM to add some history to the Wikipedia Article I just did for them and I came across a website that I had helped a friend of mine named Kevin Ramierez (now deceased) design back in 2002. Ramierez was a DJ on LaBrava 990 WNTY in Southington from September 1999 until the station was forced off the air in September 2000 by a Court Order. He also worked briefly (less than 2 months) behind the scenes after WNTY became BLAZE 990 in October 2000.

The website was called CTRTV - Connecticut Radio and TV.

On the main page (http://members.fortunecity.com/ctrtv/index.htm) is a message that Kevin asked me to put up stating the site was offline while he was visiting a sick out-of-state relative who didn't have internet access. Since this was 4 years ago I don't remember it happening it also says something about issues with the TV and radio stations being worked out. Maybe they threatened to sue him becuase he put their logos on the site.

The message is signed "JB". JB stands for JAY BROWN, a name I was planning on using if I had ever gotten a DJ gig on BLAZE 990. Sometime during the fall of 2001 their GM had asked me if I'd like to do an on-air shift sometime during the hours of 9PM and 6AM. I ultimately turned him down as it was approaching winter and my parents didn't want to have to drive me to the station and take me home during a snowstorm. At that time I lived in Bristol, which was 14 or 15 miles one way from the station.

In a few weeks, I'm going to have to see if I can get into that Fortune City account and either take it down or revamp into my name.
