Old Rooster 92.7 is broadcasting

Licensed to Beverly Beach, Beach 92.7 fm is broadcasting and testing their signal. I heard a bunch of songs without any lame DJ's talking over the music! I hope it stays this way...

getting it here in St. Augustine. I am actually excited to hear they are going with a Variety Hits format..and I like how they are doing the stunting with the new format and letting people know that a new station is about to come on the air fully.

92.7, known as Beach 92.7, has been stunting all weekend long. Sounds great!
Any feedback thus far on signal strength? Palataka? Daytona? Ormond? Green Cove Springs?
I know St. Augustine is loud and clear!

I'm sure they're still tweaking...

Nothing here on the southside of Jacksonville, so the move out was successful! I didn't think the station would be up and running so soon. Can't wait to hear it on my next trip somewhere south...

They are also broadcasting in HD as one of the legal ID's had it saying WBHQ-HD Beverly Beach/Palm Coast. Other legal IDs have also had it saying Beverly Beach/Flagler Beach, Beverly Beach/St. Augustine, Beverly Beach/Ormond Beach....and they are being creative as well.

Also they are not just targeting Palm Coast but other places in the broadcast area including St. Augustine, Palm Coast, Ormond Beach and even Palatka I think

The format is a great fit for the area and is something long overdue.

I have been told the first full day of broadcasting that puts the full format to use is coming within in the next week.

I had the privilege of hearing the station yesterday near St. Augustine, it sounds great! Processing, everything! I wonder if they got the old CC audio processor? It's not what I expected to hear... it sounds better! :)

well considering that the President of Flagler County Broadcasting has built up some notable stations around the country and here in Florida including WMMO in Orlando I would expect it to sound great for a new station.

Can someone in listening range give us a sample of what they are playing?? ,...not sure what Variety Hits format is?

I heard it today. Imagine most of The Point, some Eagle, and a few 90's-present Hot AC hits. Yeah, it's that varied.

Also they already have Billboards up promoting the station as Flagler's all music station. I saw one driving south on A1A in Flagler Beach yesterday.

How about The Pier 92.7. I know it's corny, but how many Beaches, Waves and Breezes are there? Hey, outside of the Target out on Hwy. 100, I don't know what else Flagler Beach is famous for other than The Pier. C'mon guys, get creative!

Format sounds interesting...have to remember to tune in next time Im driving south
