Old Special - An Evening with Rick Charette

Some of you New Englanders may remember a children's performer from Maine named Rick Charette. He was local, and he had some albums, did some shows, and even performed at schools. I know there was this special that I think aired in either 1989 or 1990 called "An Evening with Rick Charette." He performed a bunch of songs with his Bubble Gum band, and there were 2 of his songs that were set to video footage. This special was on Home Video, which I used to have when I was little. However, I THINK it might have been on TV originally. I know that at the end of the closing credits, the "Maine Broadcasting System" is listed. And at one point, during the song "I Think My Room Is Great," Rick holds up a #1 sign with the NBC logo on it. I'm mostly wondering if it was just a local special in Maine, or if it was national. Does anyone remember this?

I just recently found out, it was not National, but I think it was on a few NBC affiliates in New England. From what I understand, it was only on in Maine and New Hampshire. It aired in 1989 on WCSH (and probably WLBZ), and it won the National IRIS award (whatever that is) for children's programming excellence. I'm not sure if it ever made it down to Boston. I'd like to know the exact date this special aired. Do you know of any libraries that have old newspapers with Maine TV schedules?
