Old TV People

I have been a lifetime Rhode Islander i grew up watching Sara Wye,Suda Prohaska, Cathy Ray, Magee Hickey, I am curious to know what ever happend to these people. I also be interested in knowing the wearabouts of any on camera people from Channels 12-10-6 from the 1970's to the present, It seems that Rhode Island is a steping stone for one who wants to advance there career. You never read about one leaving I be interested if anyone knows anything about these tv people from the 70's 80's 90 and the present.

Magee Hickey (formerly of Channel 6) has been on television in New York City for many years.

Deborah Horne (formerly of the Projo and WPRI) has been with KIRO/7 in Seattle for many years.

Joe Becker (formerly of Channel 6) has been in Portland, OR since 1984.

Al Vaughters (formerly of Channel 6) is in Buffalo.

Chris Conanglia (formerly of Channel 6) is in Minneapolis.

Brad Field (formerly of Channel 6) is at NBC30 in Hartford.

That about all I know right now!

Brad has been with WVIT-TV (city of license is New Britain) since the mid-1980s. He's their Chief Meteorologist now.

Exactly! When Channel 6 hired "million dollar man" John Ghiorse away from Channel 10, Brad Field was the odd man out. As they said to him on his final Channel 6 weekend newscast, Providence's loss is Hartford's gain -- and it was true!!
