Does anyone remember this commercial that ran in the early 90s for one of the AC stations: It opens with a dimly lit office showing people falling asleep or working like zombies with boring music in the background (a voiceover asking something like 'tired of boring elevator music?') and then it cuts to another office that's brightly lit and full of energetic smiling people with some hot AC song playing. I can't remember if it was for Coast, WLYF or Joy 107. Any thoughts?

If memory (or if what is left of it) serves correct, it was Coast 97.3 FM. I could be wrong, it's happened before. More than i'd ever admit in public. ;D

One of the iterations was done for the failed WPLL "Planet 103" (later "Mega 103-5", and now "The Beat"), as they tried to be "Too Cool To Coast" around 1998...The problem was, at the time, only Planet's DJ presentation was slightly 'hipper'....FLC was actually hotter musicwise, even though they still had the liner-driven "on...the COAST" delivery, which is what I guess Planet was trying to attack...And PLL had Michael Taylor in AM drive...C'mon.

The commercial featured "Sailing" by Christopher Cross....
 
Ah ha! I thought it was Coast. I thought I remembered seeing their old logo in it.
