Old WTOK-TV personality

Hello all,

The other day I was reading a list of former WTOK peronalities and I'm trying to identify one. When my family would visit my grandmother, we always watched the WTOK news during dinner. I always recall the meterologist, he had gray hair and glasses and used his pen to draw out high's and low's on the weather map, (This was back in the 1980s so I guess not all the weather charts were on computer.)
I remember once, my mother commented that this meterologist had been on TOK as long as she could remember. Does anyone have a name for the meterologist discribed?

That would be Bob Holland, longtime (like 30 years) meteorologist at WTOK. And I remember very well when Bob pulled out that pointer (looked like a retractable antenna for a jambox) in the pre-green-screen days. He retired in about 1998 and moved to Jackson. Since has come out of retirement and I believe is associated with the Fox 40 folks. What a nice guy he is. I love running into him every couple of years and hearing what's going on with him and his family. That guy has a great set of pipes.

Depended on him in the late 70's to bring us the weekly IGA grocery specials.
For old Jackson folks, he was Meridian's Bob Neblitt.(or Woody Asaaf)

Wow, that's a blast from the past that I haven't thought of in a while. I was actually wondering a few months ago if he were still alive. I'm glad to hear that Bob's still doing well. FYI, at one time he was a VO guy for MPB (then Mississippi ETV). I think he may have have done some stuff on (then PRM) as well but I don't remember. At any rate, the distinctive voice gave him away and I considered it a treat to hear him.
