Old Y-107 building going down.

I noticed the building fenced off and some heavy machinery out front of the old station on Division the other day. I know at one time Y-107 and WLUY were in it. Anyone know the history?
 
Kent - 810 Division has a long history. It was home to WMAK since sometime in the early to mid 70's. Eventually 92Q would be added in the building and then after all of that Y-107 finally landed there. After the radio days, it was a series of businesses like RJ Young and others. Now, I guess it's about to be a skyscraper. There are some interesting stories to tell from that building and some amazing talent that rolled through the door.

Yes some amazing talent for sure! And stories?....Well...Yes...VERY interesting!
 
WMAK built and moved into that building mid-1973 from the previous location at 311 Church (Exchange Mutual Building). WBYQ moved there in August of 1978.
"IF those walls could talk!", OH MY!!! I'm going to drive by there if I can today. I knew this would happen one day...

Unfortunately I think it's gone now. I drove by early Wednesday or Thursday and they had already started on the far left side. The front door was open Monday and I wish I had gone inside.
 
IIRC the old 311 Church street building had a door that was only a few steps from a bar. Before then they were in the old Maxwell Hotel.
