Older Mac G-3

Any of you Mac guys out in the Dallas area have any experience w/G-3's? trying to set one up w/0sX and the boarders on the monitor are off screen. I haven't had any luck reseting it. The monitor is an RGB High Res, model M0401. OK I know the machine is(vintage) but its a project. E-Mail me at [email protected] for my cell no.

You don't indicate which G3 you have (beige or blue & white) but you might have to go into the System Preferences, click on the Monitor icon and change the scan rate/screen size. You should find one that will match perfectly.

Usually OS X is very good at determining the monitor you're using and setting the scan rate/screen size automatically. But if you're using Jaguar with a beige G3, for example, you may have to set these manually.

To those of you who responded to my cries for help, and especially Mr. Laurence, Thanks. This is how I finally solved my problem. I purchased a Mac to VGA adapter from Cables to GO and plugged into a new wide screen monitor, I am now good to go. Thanks guys.
