I'd be grateful in hearing from anyone here that has some older processing
collecting dust they would be willing to sell.
Please check the rack, peak out at the transmitter shack,on the storage shelfs and let me know if anything is available.
Gates,RCA,CRL,Urei,Orban, anything of this nature would be useful.
Thanks

What are you looking for, AM or FM? I have an Inovonics 230, 8 band am processor. Looks great, factory rebuild in 1993. For it's age, it really sounds nice when you get it set up correctly. You know, loudness on a budget.

I've never heard that box and wondered how crazy 8 bands are for FM much less AM (especially now with alot of stations not even passing <5k)

How busy does it sound? Some of these 6 band boxes drive me nuts with the over EQ'ing, I can't imagine EIGHT.

It really sounds great when set up properly but you can easily make it sound like a "grunge" box if you want to.

Each channel has a level control via a 20 turn pot so you can adjust how much you hear of each channel. You can adjust the release time for each channel from Slow, Med, or Fast. Each channel also has a slider that allows you to adjust the compression ratio for each. The metering looks just like an Optimod 8100-XT chassis with what looks like the same type of meters. It has adjustable peak limiting with peak limiting release time, Slow, Med, and Fast (LED on front). Positive peak amplitude (asymmetry) adjustment. Gating Threshold adjustments (LED on Front), peak limiter drive adjustment, phase follower sensitivity adjustment (with Red - and Green + LEDs).

When set up correctly it really sounds nice and punchy on a budget but keep in mind that this unit has some age on it even though it was rebuilt in 1993.
