Oldest Extant Off-Air VHS/Beta Tape You Have

Wow that womens basketball stuff is incredibly rare, as you said before until the mid to late 90s only a handful of womens basketball games were telecast to a large audience, usually the Final 4 was on CBS and that was it, ESPN did telecast more games in the latter 1990s to the point where all womens NCAA Tournament games are now telecast, plus select big regular season games.

Muster Sports most of produced the broadcast to be aired in syndication for various independent stations, I know my local indie, WKFT 40, would often show womens basketball and especially Campbell womens and mens basketball during the season. I really regret not recording their broadcasts of that as most probably no longer exist, as the channel was only available in a 90 mile radius with some other areas if you include cable grids.

We'll see how COVID-19 impacts yard sales and even eBay listings in terms of a boost or crater of listings.

There are a few estate sales planned this weekend in eastern WA, and a few more in western WA. However I would assume church rummage sales will be cancelled and/or postponed, and eventually everything will have to come to a halt especially if WA goes under mandatory quarantines.
Thrift stores may close their doors temporarily too. eBay is a question mark at this time, but I assume you won't see a lot of west coast, Ohio or New York tape lots in the next several weeks.
Another problem is trying to get to the P.O. to ship the items! We go into "Italy"-like-territory and we may be barred from dropping off packages at the Post Office.

On Saturday I was able to hit an estate sale at a house about two miles south of Thorp, the estate of a long time local veterinarian. Some cool stuff in that place, and about 25 VHS tapes, but only one was home-recorded. The RCA T-120 tape had the 11/18/1985 broadcast of Mickey & The Beanstalk and 'Dumbo' (1940) taped off KING/NBC with commercials.
I have all of Dumbo and the tail end of Mickey & The Beanstalk already from a KNDO taping that I found in September 2016. However it shows what the TV habits were of Ellensburg people back then. If they could get wired for cable, with no Syndex in those days no wonder they were taping off the better quality Seattle affiliate. No doubt in my mind locals were upset when SyndEx took away the full-time Seattle feeds.

Probably the last estate sale I'll be able to attend until the darned Coronavirus goes away. Wouldn't be surprised to see estate sales and yard sales temporarily get halted in many places soon, unless through online methods.
Not a surprise also, the annual youth rummage sale at West Valley Church has been cancelled indefinitely. Was supposed to be 3/21, I visit it every year.

Some tapes found at a place today where no one expects to find them, at the Ronald General Store on Hwy 903 in Ronald WA. Ronald is about 28 miles (33 road miles) NW of Ellensburg in the upper valley. This place had food and beer, but also had antiques, glassware, books, etc. for sale just like a thrift store. They must have had 300 or more VHS tapes for sale, mostly retail. Five duds (all copied from rentals) out of 7.

Tape 1 - 'Deep Shock' (2003) taped off Sci-Fi Channel on 8/9/2003 with commercials, episode of The Incredible Hulk taped off Sci-Fi Channel on 8/11/2003 minus commercials; WWE Raw taped off Spike TV the same night with commercials; episode of The Incredible Hulk taped off Sci-Fi Channel on 8/12/2003 with commercials. Sony T-120
Tape 2 - Sunday NFL Countdown and a few World's Strongest Man competitions taped off ESPN on New Year's Day 2006 with commercials, goes blank after nearly 4 hours. Scotch T-120

Heads up my fellow YouTubers and VHS collectors! Today YT has finished the full transition into the new Studio module; the Classic module is now completely gone from YT. Gonna miss the old Classic interface, as it was quite easy to use. I see they have made the new Studio a little easier to use than it was before, so fingers crossed.
No new tapes lately (and probably for a few more weeks) due to COVID-19. Estate sales, yard sales, etc. are halted all over the place; thrift stores are closed under Inslee's non-essential closure orders.

While we're stuck at home during the lockdown, here are a few places on the Internet Archive website where you can find full-length recorded VHS tapes.

Here's a plethora of random TV recordings on VHS linked together on one page. According to the uploader, these came from tapes he's found at flea markets through the years. There's one tape on here that has a couple of episodes of the animated Tales from the Cryptkeeper series that are copied from a retail tape, but also has an infomercial and part of a CBS Sports broadcast afterward. The guy who uploaded these has a YouTube channel as well, going by the name Kevin McGill.

This lady who goes by the handle 'Meredith_Vintage' also has some impressive videos. Bonus points to her for finding quite a hefty amount of classic Nickelodeon and PBS Kids programming.

Here's another guy who does both Archive and YouTube. He's got some memorable TV moments in his VHS collection, including the infamous Geraldo episode with the skinhead brawl and Barbara Walters' interview with Monica Lewinsky on 20/20. On a happier note, he's got several episodes of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy uploaded as well, among other things.

For you fans of Cops and America's Most Wanted, as well as those of you living in or around L.A., this one's for you. Yes, that is Tom Morris Jr. of Live PD fame reporting for AMW in 2003.
https://archive.org/details/FOXNBCAndKCALVHS2003

One individual on Archive named Justin Smith is also known for uploading recorded VHS tapes in full. At one point, he had a pretty hefty amount of them on his previous Archive account 'loveforlogos' until it got shut down. He now goes by 'loveforlogos2' and doesn't have as many of his tapes uploaded as of yet.
https://archive.org/details/@loveforlogos2
He does, however, have a complete list of the recorded TV programs he has posted here. The oldest tapes he has go as far back as 1978 and his collection in general spans across various markets throughout the country.

If you have a smart TV with a web browser, that'll make watching these even more enjoyable.

Like everyone else, no new tapes lately. But I still continue to upload new clips, just put up a 1989 INN USA Tonight broadcast along with a bunch of late '80s commercial breaks. Maybe the pandemic will help me shed a lot of these dusty tapes, especially the ones that have been laying around for 3-4 years! I already have close to 40 that are ready for either eBay or DVD conversion to eBay. I don't feel comfortable shipping anything right now because of the pandemic and the trip I have to make to the P.O.
In the coming days, I have Sacramento, Yakima and cable TV videos to put up from the '90s. Maybe a sliver of Seattle or L.A. if I can get to it.

Well due to my father being tested for the virus (thankfully it came back negative), I was off for much of this week and I'm planning on uploading over 80 videos on my five Youtube channels and the Internet Archive (pannoni4 over there), hopefully by next weekend since I have lots of commercial descriptions to type. Among those will include the 1986 and 1987 Golden Globe Awards (the ceremony on Archive and the commercials, off two Pittsburgh indies on YT which I got from that Yardley Craigslist lot last year), the 1991 American Comedy Awards, the semifinal and finals of Star Search '86 (albeit in fair condition with quite a bit of tape wear), most of an episode of You Bet Your Life from 1958 as taken from an April 1978 WPIX broadcast, part of the 1990 CBA Finals, Game 4, three SNLs from the '80s (including one hosted by Oprah Winfrey), some amateur footage of some high school girls basketball from the '80s including the 1985 awards ceremony from a classroom at Pasco HS, a couple John Patrick casino/sports gambling episodes, most of a Donahue episode from 1987, a WBAL newscast from 1991, episodes of the short-lived sitcoms Carol & Company and Open House from 1990, and even a clip from the locally produced Archie Campbell Show from 1985.

And I'm getting some more VHS tapes from eBay off a seller based off Long Island, mostly from the '90s, with some late '80s and early '00s, due to the fact that most listed sports like the NBA, NCAA, MLB, as well as some TV shows like In Living Color, The Cosby Show, A Different World, a Whitney Houston concert from South Africa, as well as some TV movies like The Women of Brewster Place (with one tape labeled with Fresh Prince/In Living Color/Brewster Place, suggesting the possibility of an episode from that short-lived 1990 ABC series based off that TV movie). The sports lot is mostly playoffs & finals as you may expect, with the oldest labeled '87 World Series, but of course with the sports world virtually on strike, these will be refreshing to search through, and that includes the NBA heyday of Michael Jordan as well as the Bad Boy Pistons and the tail end of the Magic Johnson-era Lakers, as well as the Knicks mini-golden age in the '90s. The amount of commercials is a question mark, hopefully it will be a fair share and not a small percentage like that Michigan lot earlier this year, and remember that the commercials could contain sublocal feeds such as Long Island based ads in addition to just general NYC-area ads. The seller had one more lot that I passed on (mostly NFL games) that got relisted and is going off tomorrow, with close to 20 Super Bowls from the late '80s through the '00s among the labels, as well as a few college bowl games and a few regular season games. I've still got nearly 20 Redskins tapes that I'll probably save for football season, and I'm short on basketball and baseball games in my collection. Expect the 60+ tapes to arrive in the next few days.

Due to some content from various films/shows present, I'm going to post mine on Archive. I'm interested in some of the local spots since WJZ is one of my home market affiliates.

20 keepers from that sale in Eldersburg, MD about a half hour from me for $15. Decent mix of '80s and '90s, with some '00s and rental clunkers of course. Wish there was some daytime, comedy, music (outside a small amount of TNN), or sports/game shows, but a decent mix.

Tape 1: HBO and/or rental copies of El Diablo, Dakota, and Weekend In Bernie's, followed by about the last ten of minutes of Nightline, Entertainment Tonight, and the first five minutes of Into The Night with Rick Dees taped off WJZ on 8/6/1990 w/commercials

Tape 2: Never Say Never Again and The Right Stuff taped off HBO in 1984, with about 15 minutes of promos after the second movie

Tape 3: Magic Moments at Memorial Stadium taped off WMAR on 10/2/1991 with a few commercials, followed by most of Gone But Not Forgotten taped WMPT sometime in 1991 (lots of old Baltimore scenes discussed in this doc), then a WJZ tribute special on the late newscaster Jerry Turner on 1/4/88 (a rebroadcast of an earlier airing), followed by most of Happy Birthday Bo: 50 Stars Salute Your 50 Years with NBC off WMAR on 5/16/88 with some commercials. I've already got this special taped off another station.

Tape 4: The Wizard of Oz, taped off WBAL/CBS on 3/30/1984 with commercials. The tape was snapped at the beginning, so I won't be able to sell this unfortunately.

Tape 5: The Magic of David Copperfield specials X through XV, taped off WBAL each spring between 1988 to 1993. The 1988 and 1989 have all or most commercials zapped out, the 1990 special has some commercials, while the 1991 through 1993 specials are uncut, and at the end of the tape, it cuts over for a full WBAL newscast on 4/9/1991 (the same night as the 1991 special, with the 1992 and 1993 specials taped over that 1991 TV movie).

Tape 6: Numerous The Three Stooges shorts taped off WTTG in 1984 with lots of commercials, mostly taped in the spring of that year, but a few taped during the Christmas holidays with many toys/kids commercials prevalent there.

Tape 7: Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964), taped off CBS/WBAL in December 1993 with commercials, followed by a jumble of a few 2000s shows afterwards

Tape 8: More Three Stooges episodes taped off WTTG in June/July 1984 with some commercials

Tape 9: Return To Lonesome Dove, pt. 3 taped off WBAL/CBS on 11/18/1993 with commercials (no intro), followed by a two-hour episode of Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman taped two nights later with commercials (ends before the closing). This makes my collection of RTLD mostly complete now.

Tape 10: One more batch of Three Stooges, taped off WTTG around September/October 1984 with some commercials

Tape 11: The Man Shot miniseries taped of TBS in July 1994 with commercials, followed by a partial presentation of the WGBH documentary on Apollo 13 from the same year.

Tape 12: The Magic of David Copperfield VI, taped off WBAL/CBS on 4/6/1984 with commercials, followed by two episodes of the Amazon River docuseries from the same year off WTBS with some commercials

Tape 13: Geronimo, Tombstone, and Grumpy Old Men taped off Viewer's Choice on 8/11/1994 with promos after each movie, especially the last film

Tape 14: The Magic of David Copperfield taped off WBAL/CBS in 1985 with no commercials, followed by scoped HBO airings of The Jazz Singer and Rascals & Robbers with no promos, then the PBS special UFO's: What's Going On from around the same year, followed by about a 15 minute block of TNN Block in March 1985 with a couple commercial breaks. It was quite prevalent that the country genre had really lagged the rock/pop genres in terms of video exposure at this time.

Tape 15: Five episodes of John Patrick's "How To Win At" series on various casino games, including craps, slots, blackjack, and roulette, taped off Action Pay-Per-View in April 1995 with promos after each episode.

Tape 16: Scarface and Sudden Impact taped off HBO on early 1985 with a few promos, followed by most of Knight Rider taped off WMAR/NBC on 1/24/86 with commercials, and then it cuts back to about five minutes of promos and part of Not Necessarily The News off HBO in early 1985.

Tape 17: Broken Arrow, Dead Man Walking, and Eye For An Eye taped of Request PPV in August 1996 with promos after each movie, especially the last one with about a 15 minute break

Tape 18: On Golden Pond copied from a rental, followed by The Magic of Copperfield VIII taped off WBAL/CBS in March 1986 with some commercials, followed by the Disney Sunday Movie (a shortened version due to a special report that included classic Winnie the Pooh and Chip 'n Dale) taped off WJZ/ABC on 3/16/1986 with commercials, then it cuts to the last 20 minutes of Hotel taped off WJZ/ABC on 4/2/86 with a couple commercial breaks.

Tape 19: Talk about a waste of practicality: Over three hours of nothing but promo crawls off Comcast Home Theater PPV on 11/8/1996. The same loop over and over again about 25 times! Interestingly, some of my '00s finds that I passed on included over two hours of TV Guide crawls from October 2006. Sorry, but that font just doesn't feel "retro" yet on those listings (the same one that a lot of news stations use today)

Tape 20: Western Union and How the West Was Won taped off rentals (what's with all these western movies that I've been finding lately?), followed by Miami Vice taped off WMAR/NBC on 3/17/1989 with commercials, then it cuts to most of the WBAL 11 PM News on 3/6/1989. Its interesting that of all of the Baltimore newscasts that I've found over the years, the six that are at least half complete have all come from Channel 11, and it seems that the set/theme changes happened more frequently than the other stations.

Hey is there any way you could upload the Magic Moments at Memorial Stadium taped off WMAR on 10/2/1991 and the magic of david copperfield stuff to youtube id really be interested in watching them thank you. Also the sudden impact from hbo would be cool to see. Thanks so much.

What's the oldest still viewable off-air (not commercial) VHS or Betamax tape you own?

I have a VHS tape of news coverage of Reagan's shooting in March 1981 (I didn't tape it myself, but got it in a trade). Transferred to DVD-R some time ago, but the original still plays just fine after 25 years. I'm sure at least a few of you have something even older, even if you've long since copied it to other media.

They replayed one of the games from the little league world series from 2014 I think the other week on ESPN 2 with mone davis complete game. Recorded it on dvr and of course the damn thing deleted it somehow. I doubt anyone else recorded this but if anyone did id really appreciate a copy thanks.

Just finished searching through that latest VHS lot, and it basically stayed true to the description for the most part. In general, this appeared to come from a black family due to a lot of the programming featured. Almost all were off NYC area stations, though one find was off a Syracuse station upstate (my first find from that market), and one was off a Long Island PBS affiliate. The recordings ranged from 1987 to 2006, and of course if you don't know me by now, I only collect the pre-2000 stuff with a few exceptions (if WCBS-FM added a barrage of '00s stuff, I'm sure people would turn off, but I'd agree that the '90s are pretty firmly vintage at this point). As you may expect, the most items that were a victim of the pause button were sitcoms, but there were a some that had at least part of the commercials intact. Oddly, many of the sports finds were partial in unique ways, often with an entire quarter skipped despite many of the ads still intact, even with the halftime in some cases. Kept 30 tapes overall, so it was certainly better than that Michigan lot. Almost now cartoons though except for the end of a He-Man episode from a repeat in 1987. These tapes were also heavy on the re-recording side, meaning that there was that dreaded '00s on 'late '80s tape stock re-recordings on a couple cases, including some Cosby Show reruns off WPIX in the early 2000s. It even included several tapes with content off BET from the early 2000s, but alas it was most just gospel and at a time when the network had gone "mainstream".

TAPE 1: All three 1988 NCAA Final Four games without commercials or halftime (presumably off WCBS), followed by most of the 4th quarter of an NFL preseason game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears off WABC on 8/31/1987 with a few commercials, including a promo for Full House.

TAPE 2: The 1988 NBA Playoffs matchup between the Mavericks and Lakers without commercials (not sure which game since I wanted to just focus on games that had the ads on them), followed by part of Game 3 of the 1987 World Series between the Cardinals and Twins off WABC on 10/24/1987 with commercials (beginning in the 6th inning).

TAPE 3: Portions of the 1988 (technically early 1989) AFC and NFC Championship Games without commercials (not planning on recording those), followed by part of Game 5 of the 1988 NBA Finals between the Pistons and Lakers off WCBS on 5/16/1988 with some commercials as well as most of the halftime break, then it cuts back to the last several minutes of He-Man an the first few minutes of Thundercats off WNYW in February 1987 with a few commercials

TAPE 4: On a tape filled mostly with spliced episodes of The Cosby Show and A Different World from 1989, only a special episode of a spinoff attempt of 227 (billed as Jackee), taped off WNBC on 5/11/1989 with the opening and closing missing as well as an unscoped episode off A Different World, also off WNBC on 10/19/89, were kept free from the "pause" button.

TAPE 5: The first half of NBC's popular late '80s/early '90s Thursday Night lineup once again mostly gets the "economy" treatment regarding having just the two main segments of each episode intact and perhaps part of the mid-show bumper, but not all of them. This includes both The Cosby Show and most of A Different World, recorded off WSTM in Syracuse on 11/17/1988, with Cosby unscoped and A Different World missing its mid-show ad break as well as its close (but most of the adds prior to the closing break). Also worth preserving is another episode of The Cosby Show taped off WNBC on 11/2/1989 with some commercials.

TAPE 6: Most of a regular season game between the Lakers and Houston Rockets taped off WCBS on 3/5/1989 with most commercials as well as the halftime break left intact, followed by scoped airings of a couple 1989 NCAA Tournament games between Michigan/North Carolina and Winthrop/Virginia, before cutting for almost all of the 4th quarter of a first-round NBA Playoff match between the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers off WCBS on 4/30/1989 with commercials.

TAPE 7: All three 1989 NCAA Final Four games without commercials or halftime (once again, presumably off WCBS), followed by much of the second half of Game 6 of the 1990 NBA Easter Conference Finals between the Pistons and Bulls, taped off WCBS on 6/1/1990 (too bad for Michael and Scottie that they were still a step away from glory).

TAPE 8: A classic episode of Like It Is, recorded off WPIX in February 1990 with a few commercials (a rerun of a 1980 episode), followed by an episode of Blackside off WLIW from 1990, then it cuts ahead to most of the George Michael Sports Machine on 12/16/1990 off WNBC with commercials, then a portion of the classic film Prescription Murder off WPIX in August 1987 with a few commercials, then more episodes of Like It Is (another "classic" 1980 episode off WPIX recorded in 1990), then another episode of Blackside off WLIW in 1990 with part of a pledge break afterwards.

TAPE 9: Starts with five spliced episodes of In Living Color, presumably off WNEW in 1990, then cuts to most of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air off WNBC with commercials (missing the last break and close), then another spliced episode of ILC, then another episode of A Different World with the ad breaks and close unfortunately a product of what Uncle Phil on that above sitcom lakes to "portray" from the #1 kids show at the time, then most of Gabriel and the first 15 minutes of Primetime Live off WABC on 11/8/1990 with most commercials, more "Shredded" ILC and A Different World episodes, followed by most of another episode of Gabriel on 11/29/90 off WABC with commercials.

TAPE 10: Coming to America and Fatal Attraction off unknown stations circa 1989 without commercials, then it cuts to a rerun of Oprah Winfrey off WABC on Christmas Eve 1990 with commercials (a rerun of the Winans Family Christmas episode from 1989), then an episode of Law & Order without commercials afterwards.

TAPE 11: The first episode of Columbo "Prescription Murder" off a station I can't remember without commercials, followed by several reruns of the Jeffersons in the early 1990s off an unknown station without ads, then it cuts to most of an episode of This Is The NFL off WPIX on October 1990 with some commercials, followed by a few clips of The Arsenio Hall Show from late 1990 (including Whitney Houston performing "I'm Your Baby Tonight", followed by most of A Different World off WNBC on 12/20/90 with commercials.

TAPE 12: Portions of Games 3, 4, and 5 of the 1991 NBA Finals between the Bulls and Lakers with some commercials, followed by most of an episode of Oprah with Stevie Wonder and Spike Lee from June 1991 with a few commercials.

TAPE 13: The first 40 minutes approximately of the special Lost Youth, taped off WNBC/NBC on 4/26/91 with commercials, followed by part of Game 5 of the 1991 NBA Western Conference Finals (LA Lakers vs. Portland), beginning just before halftime and including most commercials (taped 5/28/1991 off WNBC), followed by Arsenio Hall from the same night off WWOR with commercials, followed by much of Game 1 of the 1991 NBA Finals, ending with about eight minutes left of game time. Includes all commercials off NBC/WNBC, intro sequence, and halftime.

TAPE 14: Starts with several more scoped sitcom airings (In Living Color, Fresh Prince, Cosby Show, etc.), followed by part of an episode of Arsenio Hall from April 1991 off WWOR with some commercials, then most of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air off WNBC on 5/6/1991 with commercials (no close), then most of an episode of In Living Color on 5/12/1991 off WNYW with commercials. Along with the Nixon era, the Bush 41 era is my favorite African-American cultural era, so if you can tell by now, its nice to get a nice blast from the past.

TAPE 15: In a tape with more of the same shows from Tape 14 scoped, a few more keepers, including most of A Different World off WNBC on 12/12/1991 with commercials, along most of another classic episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from four nights later. There was also a scoped episode of the now obscure Baltimore-set sitcom about a garbage man ROC from 1992 on the tape, along with part of an episode of the short-lived Brewster Place, based off the 1989 TV Movie that aired in mid-1990.

TAPE 16: A bloopers special of In Living Color along with a general episode of ILC off WNYW in May 1992 with commercials, followed by most of the CBS Sunday Movie "A House of Secrets", taped off WCBSon 9/27/1992 with commercials, then cuts to part of an episode of Arsenio Hall from August 1990 with some commercials, then finishes with part of a WABC Eyewitness News report on the Los Angeles riots from April/May 1992 with a few commercials.

TAPE 17: The WABC late movie "Cooley High" from May 1992 with commercials, followed by a clip of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno from the summer of 1992 with the Winans with no commercials, then a clip of I-Witness Video from September 1992 featuring Hurricane Andrew coverage off WNBC with no commercials, and then finally part one of the miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream off WABC on 11/15/1992 with commercials.

Tape 18: Various coverage from the 1992 Summer Olympics off WNBC with some commercials. Among the events featured include the Men's 400m hurdles, Women's 100m run, some boxingh, the Women's 4 x 400m relay, and the Men's Basketball Gold Medal Game with The Dream Team's triumph against Croatia.

Tape 19: Alex Haley's Queen, the three-part miniseries taped off WCBS in February 1993. Only part one has the commercials though (I've already got part 3 with commercials). This allows to make room for the MLK special March to Memphis 1968 special taped off WNET around March/April 1993 with some promos at the end.

Tape 20: Three 1993 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament games (including the championship) without commercials or halftime, followed by most of the 4th quarter of the Lakers-Suns first round playoff matchup as well as the first quarter of the Hawks-Bulls game off WNBC on 5/2/1993 with commercials, followed by part of ABC Day One from around the summer of 1993 with a few commercials, and finally a syndicated rerun of Roseanne off WNYW in November 1993 with commercials.

Tape 21: Games 2, 5, and 6 of the 1993 NBA finals without commercials, intros, and halftime, followed by an episode of Oprah Winfrey featuring Michael Jordan off WABC on 10/29/1993 with commercials.

Tape 22: Biography: Stevie Wonder off A&E in 1994 without commercials, followed by "The Race To Freedom", an original TV film off the Family Channel on 2/20/94 with commercials, followed by a clip of Anita Baker performing Rhythm of Love on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno with no commercials.

Tape 23: The 1994 Midwest Regional Final between Arkansas and Georgetown with some commercials off WCBS, followed by part of an episode of 20/20 from 4/22/1994 with a few commercials, including some special report break-ins announcing the passing of Richard M. Nixon, then it cuts to part of an NBA Playoffs game between the Jazz and Houston with some commercials. The tape started with a rerun of Columbo: Deadly State of Mind off A&E with a few commercials.

Tape 24: Parts one, two, and part of three of the Roots mini-series taped off the Family Channel in February 1995 with commercials (including some local Long Island ads, including the Family Fun Center in Farmingdale.

Tape 25: The rest of part three, part four, and part five of the Roots mini-series taped off the Family Channel in February 1995 with commercials.

Tape 26: All three 1995 NCAA Final Four games, with only the finals game between Arkansas and UCLA featuring most commercials off WCBS on 4/3/1995, including an interview with president Clinton during halftime. The tape ends with part of an early round matchup between Connecticut and UCLA from a couple weeks earlier with some commercials.

Tape 27: Begins with a couple of reruns of The Honeymooners of WPIX in September 1987 with almost no commercials (one for Nobody Beats The Wiz featuring Michael Jackson's Bad and Whitney Houston's Whitney album among the products offered), then cuts over to a couple partial NFL on NBC games off WNBC on 11/17/1996 with commercials; the second half of the Jets and Colts, followed by the first half of the Dolphins and Houston Oilers. Random question but does anyone know the date(s) that The Deliberate Strange miniseries was re-aired on NBC? I think the original airing was May 1986, but I'm pretty sure I have a network re-airing on a VHS tape from 1988 or so but not 100% certain.
