Mike Russell/Matthews, not to be confused with Mike Roberts (another nice
hard workin' radio guy) or Mike Rowphone, was, from what's been
bandied about, very highly sought out by Harry Nelson to move down the hall
to do evenings on WPOR (Lia/Leah/leehaw's (sp???) gone).
Along with evenings on oldies (as Mike Russell) he's been doing the
semi-swing thing early afternoons on 'POR as
Mike Matthews. Mike is still with Portland Radio Group.
Shelly Kincaid, (one that FRANK let get away) is doing middays on 'POR now.
Brenda has been with saga/mgx for a while and this seems like a nice
little nod in her direction in the props department. give her some
time.
doesn't sound like a morale killer to me. sounds like a couple of
someone's got some much-overdue recognition for their skills & ability.

But she sounds like she's on 'MGX.Tell her it's Oldies 100.9.She's very dull.The rest of the on air staff at Oldies is upbeat and sound like their having fun.Mike will probobly sound great on the Top 40 sounding "POR.He's a real great jock,a good part of the reason I listened to Oldies 100.9 at night.Brenda is probobly a wonderful person but I can't listen to her.Sorry!

Well I wanted to reply because there has been a misconception. I do so humbly apologize for my previous delivery after being on only a few nights. I've picked up the pace. But the idea of you telling people that I am a wonderful nice person is all wrong. I am a true B*&#ch, really. I have honed my skills in this department and am working my way to full blown out f*&%ing b*&#ch. Sure I have my momentary lapses where I will pass an old lame dog without kicking him but I blame that on my hormonal mood swings. I hope this clears things up.
