WJRZ's lost 45 weekend really does dig deep into the forgotten hits. I heard 'Everyones Gone To The Moon' by Johnathan King as I was comming home today. At least one oldies station knows how to do speciality weekends right!<P ID="signature">______________

That song title reminds me of the old aircheck of WABC from the 1965 NYC blackout. That record was sounding "warped" on the air, the jock (was it Dan Ingram? I forget) joked about it, then right after that the station went off the air!

It's an OK song every once in a "blue moon" (excuse the pun), but I agree no regular rotation.

What's more interesting is that Jonathan King went to a British prison a few years back. Seems he's a pedophile. So it goes.

That's how I always think of it. "...in the key of R! Right! One Time!"

It's in rotation on Adult Standards WJIB 740 AM Stereo in Cambridge (Boston), MA.

Sorry Charlie, Dan Ingram announced Up A Lazy River by Sy Zentner in the key of R. (This is a paraphrase). Up A Lazy River was filler to the news break. If I remember the aircheck, the station limped through the news then crashed with Everyone's Going To The Moon. I was six and having dinner with my parents (in Brooklyn). The radio was not on. The lights over the kitchen table dimmed then went out and that was it. No juice until I woke up to go to school the next morning and there was school the next morning.

Back to Everyone's Going To The Moon. I remember that in 1994 it was in the regular rotation at KOMA. They had a promo commemorating the 25th anniversary of the US moon landing. Every time the song was played, a caller could win a prize.

Lost Oldies? Phooey thats on our regular play list along
with several thousand others and we're always adding more.
Give us a listen online if you're not in the Greater Akron
area. Every Sunday we play the best oldies (and one or two
of the bad ones too).

I can vouch for Mike. I have heard it on Sunday oldies jukebox.

They kind of play music the way WCBS-FM did before 1981.

When are you guys going to get Dan Ingram? You can at least get Mr. Music Norm N. Nite.

station knows how to do speciality weekends right!
