i don't know WHAT "Job Opening" they could have, it looks like they're fully staffed to me. by the way, i hope you are all having fun starting "Rumors". nobody has an ounce of proof, your tongues are wagging hoping for, i don't know what, so i wonder where you will be and what you will say WHEN you are WRONG. it looks to me like THIS station should be applauded for HAVING a "Live 24/7" operation in an era of "Voice Tracking", cutbacks and syndication(which you all seem to hate-i do to). if they are adding someone else, Hell! GREAT!

There are many people in this industry on a management level that get information before it goes public. It's a fact that the station was 'officially' put out there for sale - not just feelers, or 'sure if someone gives me enough everything is for sale,' but actually 'the station is being offered for XXX price.' And the price is NOT 10 million. It's less than what was paid to the Quinns. This is a buyer's market.

At least ONE employee at the Castleton studio has confirmed this is what they were already told as well.

CSPOT - A radio station sale does not go through in 24 hours. A deal is made, a deal is confirmed, then it gets filed. Attorney's are involved, so it's a long process. Be patient. Don't be so quick to defend when you also have no idea if it's true or not.

What will you say when this process plays out and KLU turns christian - will YOU admit YOU were wrong?

i'm not right or am i looking to win some kind of argument(how can you argue about something that is not based in fact?) i don't have a DOG in this fight, i don't care what they do, or don't. but it's obviously become an obsession with you, so be it. whatever.

Do you even work in this business? Those ads are placed regularly for EEOC purposes - as REQUIRED by the FCC (that's the agency that regulates radio - in case you plan to ask that in your next post).

COULD it also be POSSIBLE that the ad was placed BEFORE management was made aware of this?

No one said it was finalized and posted by the FCC --

The ad was placed probably because they just hired on Tom Berg. And now they're going through the EEO stuff. Every business does that.

That's why we need to get rid of EEO (affirmative action), but that's for another discussion.

Back to the point, it does seem that the "word" is out there on this supposed sale, but the "word" doesn't really have any facts behind it. It seems a little far fetched that nobody in the building knows about the sale except for the one "source" referred to here.

Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt that it could be true, but I have heard these rumors before.

And just to clear it up, the postings you've seen recently are for both the night shift that Tom Berg is now filling and a PT/WE shift to replace a guy who's leaving at the end of the month. Hope that helps.
