Oldies 101.9 PD Position

That's the truth. We can all be replaced. And, if our hearts are in the right place we should want
someone else to be able to step in when we are gone. That way our baby can keep on living.
I wish the best for the staff and employees at WKLU!

Bruce Quinn

If you had a few bucks in your pocket you would feel the same way. No worries!

As far as keeping the baby alive. Not so sure about that one.

Owners, and managers are like the bus. If you miss one, just wait another one is on the way.

Fortunately, bad managers/PDs are found out fairly quickly and when results/ratings drop like a bomb, they are the first to be thrown overboard.

Unfortunately, there is no one to rid a station of a terrible owner. You just have to hope he gets bored and goes away on his own.

Why is there no personality in radio anymore? Instead of owners demanding quality talent with a grasp of this business, owners instead demand obedient and subservient workers. Lapdogs that are eager to please the owner, instead of the listening public. Damn the old values of PRODUCT FIRST!

Not to mention PDs that are fearful of losing their jobs, so they hire lesser quality talent so promotion from within is less likely.

Bad owners. Bad PDs. No personalities.

If I had a dime for every time I've heard those complaints in the past 40 years, I could buy KLU from Russ. And then, I'd give you something to really complain about. ;)

Oh No! An audio-only rebroadcast of the History channel!

:D
