Oldies 103.3

They have two things going in their favor:

a) they have been an usually strong and consistent 25-54 performer

b) they effectively moved their music era forward before most, so the "oldies"
name may not have the stink on it that many other stations have.

I'd still look for them to gently evolve out of OLDIES 103.3 and into using WODS sooner than later.

Agreed. Some stations "oldies" is not a negative. Or at least it's not perceived that way whether via research of the PD.

WMJI/Cleveland transitioned away from "oldies" in it's positioner in 2000. Long before the others.<P ID="signature">______________

I know that, I'm just surprised the "Oldies" name is still in use though.

Good points Cat and woody.

Their ratings have been consistently high, and for the past two books they have been the top-rated adult music station in the Boston market, beating all AC's and Classic Rock/Hits stations by far. Riding that "high", I'm guessing they don't want to risk tinkering with their imaging.

In the overall 12+, only the CHR/Hip-Hop station and the heritage AM News/Talk blowtorch beat them, no other adult demo music stations were even close. For a change, CBS/Infinity isn't trying to fix what obviously isn't broken... at least for the time being.
