Oldies 1450? Oldies 98.3?

THAT would be nothing short of IDEAL. It has always been an opinion of mine as soon as I saw the "Classic Oldies" format catch on that they would greatly benefit by a 24/7 Central Jersey presence. A previous poster, RGIguy, said it best that "interesting things" are taking place and that WCTC has become less than competitive in the market and relies heavily on Syndicated Programming aside from AM Drive to fill it's schedule. WMTR seems to have dedicated listeners, some that carried over from the Standards, and some that it gained from the switch itself. "WMTR AM's 1250 & 1450" may not sound good by tongue but it DOES sound good to the ears!!

We shall have to see!!

Oldies on WCTC.... maybe.

Oldies on WMGQ.... no way!

We'll just have to wait and see what happens on November 1st. I have a feeling that Greater Media will surprise us. Now, the only question is if this will be a good surprise or a bad surprise!

Talk All Day and Rock All Night on Central Jersey 1450!

If Greater Media wanted to have their cake and eat it too, they'd turn WCTC into "Talk All Day and Rock All Night": a combination of WCTC's live-and-local talk programming weekdays from 6 AM to 4 PM (including Jack Ellery and their new local sports show which appears to be doing quite well) and a simulcast of WMTR's Classic Oldies during evenings, overnights, and weekends. Hey... if NJ101.5 has been successful with a combination of Talk and Oldies, then why can't WCTC do it on a smaller, more locally-oriented scale?

Re: What's The Frequency?

I noticed today they are just calling it "Classic Oldies WMTR" with no more mention of the "AM's 1170 and 1250" frequencies.
