Oldies 923

Clear Channel just flipped KKSF in San Francisco to Oldies 103.7 - but there's been no Classic Hits station here for a couple of years. Wouldn't K-Earth be the proverbial 800 lb gorilla you don't want to mess with?

The same thing was said about KIIS FM BEFORE Feburary 2009...you know what's currently happening :(

Another silly useless thread.

1) SF has had no Classic Hits/Oldies station for three years.
2) If CC was bailing on Rhythmic AC - they would've done so with KISQ in SF
3) Up there, CC has both formats.

Its already oldies. Rythnmic Oldies 60's thru 1999 or 2000. Welcome back Mega 92.3 lol KHHT is fine where it is. KEARTH 101 sounds just fine too

We already have Jack FM playing 80's and 90's pop/rock so, together with KRTH, the 60's thru 90's music space is pretty well spoken for. KHHT has a good niche with Rhythmic Oldies so it's probably OK there unless, of course, it decides to abandon music all together one day....

There is so much music from the 80s that isnt getting played. The majority is the old KROQ 80's stuff. KDAY does an ok job of playing the hits that Power played back in the 80's. Who is playing the Top 40 stuff from the 80's on a consistent basis?

The PD is the same one that was in charge of Mega 100 and Movin 93.9 in LA, fun stations...while they were on the air. Do you think this will work?

Well Movin didnt fly when they were 70's 80's Rythnmic Oldies. LA and SF are different markets so maybe it might work. Good Luck to them
