Oldies 97.7 Baton Rouge

The translator in BR that was playing KLOVE is now playing real oldies. So is EMF doing this? Someone else take over? Nothing showing on FCC website.

In exchange for HD2 space on big signals in certain markets, EMF is allowing Clear Channel to program a few of their FM translators.

In Minneapolis, CC was able to move its sports-talker to FM via a HD2/FMX translator that EMF leased out. The same happened over the 4th of July weekend here in Austin; 103.1 moved up from San Marcos, where it was simulcasting the Air1 Christian alternative format. It's now on one of the main West Lake Hills towers, airing "the Zone" sports programming from 1300/KVET and 98.1/KVET-FM HD2.

I don't suspect this is the last we'll be hearing of this—keep an eye out on any EMF translators that happen to be in the commercial spectrum in a Clear Channel market and you'll probably start to see AM simulcasts and new stations like this.

Sunday evening there was no HD-2 on WYNK, and this 97.7 now airing what I had found on Thursday on the HD-2 spot. Interesting, so will KLOVE be on WYNK HD-2? Now I think this is why KRVE hasn't had an HD-2 for a while as they used to run 70's and 80's there. Looking for something new I guess. Wait, I thought 97.7 was KLOVE for N.O. as 92.7 was for B.R.?

no 91.1 is K-Love for New Orleans (Norco)

97.7 is a translator frequency in the area as There is a 97.7 in Houma but it relays 89.1 WBSN aka "Lifesongs"

But may not be in BR where the thing comes up with a company as big as CC. But anyway 97.7 was built to relay K-Love before the purchase of 92.7 and basically was a redundant signal and apparently too far for Air-1 and K-LOve surprisingly didn't get some sort of deal to put it on a HD2 in BR.

With Q93 (WQUE) showing upwards of 1.1 in the book last one I saw for BR, was surprised they didn't put it say on WFMF HD2 as you can't tell me JBO needs a High fidelity signal on HD

KLOVE is leasing out translators to clear channel in exchange for KLOVE going on full power CC stations in some markets..weird i know but I saw it somewhere the day after I posted this...They are airing news talk / sports AM stations on some KLOVE translators nationwide..so why oldies on 97.7 and not WJBO?
