Oldies Christmas

Did you actually HEAR this?

Yes, from someone who knows someone that is very close to someone that actually works there.
And the first song to kick it off will most likely be "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" the Bing Crosby version.
Also the Santa from the Burlington Mall will probably be on hand to help out with the launch, just as he has for the past two years.
In addition, CBS4 will have a camera crew on hand to cover

93.3 started playing Christmas tunes this morning!
Heard Andy Williams 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas' @ 06:07 AM.

Website is coast933.com.
They have the playlist up....yup ALL Christmas tunes!

93.3 is call "Coast 93.3"

Oh, Providence!
I suppose "Boston's" Holiday Music Station need not worry.
And dammit I was wrong in my start time prediction, by what, 10 minutes. Oh well, at least I got the date, first song and Santa part right.
So see ya after Christmas, Oldies 103.3, or until I get into the holiday spirit.

Yeah the Coast 93.3 is lic. to Taunton which is close to Provi. and part of their market I'd think...it did say they went Christmas on Prov board

Last night Patrick Callahan was doing a show and for a minute I thought it was the Thursday night countdown:
"coming up, we have the song that was the last #1 song of the 60s..." (Ross/Supremes, Someday We'll
Be Together). And I thought, if they're doing the Thu Night Countdown on a TUE night, does that mean
it's because they're switching tomorrow? Actually I don't think they were doing the countdown but I thought they were.

Carpenters "Merry Christmas Darling" concludes at 12:57 pm
"You've found Boston's official holiday station"

OK, they're off my presets till Dec 15. Too early!

???

You'd think after so many years of "all Christmas--all the time" SOMEBODY could come up with a different slug line than "Boston's OFFICIAL holiday station!"

How many times have all of us heard that "chestnut roasting on an open MP3 player" tag? Am I missing something or isn't there more than one radio station that plays seasonal music during late November and most of December???

There has to be a "Creative Christmas Copywriter" working for somebody who can come up with something better? ::) [I'd even settle for "WE'RE HAPPY HOLIDAY-ING UNTIL SANTA ARRIVES!"].

In my book...the word: "Official" is a pseudonymn for BAH HUMBUG!

argytunes

57 degrees in Beverly...I go into my car to change the preset for 103.3 and they're playing Sleigh Ride...

WBOQ and WROR are good alternatives

>>Boston's OFFICIAL holiday station

Maybe that got the mumblin' mayor of the Hub to issue an official proclamation...?

No, actually they are not saying that.
Their slug is "Boston's Holiday Music Station" no OFFICIAL. Though Santa OFFICIALLY kicked it off earlier in the day.

On a side note, they are now streaming.

Opps, I take that back, just heard their image guy say it.
